Create a DCR for suggested changes

Learn how to create a Data Change Request (DCR) for suggestions made to a profile.

You can use the Suggesting mode to suggest changes if you do not have editing privileges in profiles. In other words, you can initiate Data Change requests by suggesting changes in a profile. You can also create a new profile in the Suggesting mode and create a DCR for it to be approved.

To create a new profile in the Suggesting mode:

  1. In the left navigation in the Hub, select Create new profile.
  2. In the Profile view, select Suggesting from the dropdown list on the right pane.
    1. Enter the profile details and click Suggest. You will see the DCR created for this profile in the Workflow tab.
Note: The attribute descriptions are available for you to refer to, even if the profile is pending approval.
  3. To make suggestions in an existing profile, select a profile from the Search page.
  4. In the Profile view, select Suggesting from the dropdown list on the right side of the page.
  5. In the Suggesting mode, make your suggestions. For example, let us add employees to the company profile selected.
  6. Select Apply.
  7. After making all your suggestions, select Suggest. You will see a message informing you the changes are saved and sent for review.
  8. In the right navigation pane, select Workflow tab. You will see the DCR created for the suggestions in the profile.

If you've deleted attribute values when suggesting changes, the corresponding DCR shows details of the values that you deleted. Take a look at the image below:

If you delete a value that belongs to the Reltio crosswalk, the value is removed from the profile marked by the caption Deletednext to it. If you delete a value that belongs to a non-Reltio crosswalk, the value is marked by the caption Ignored next to it, indicating the value remains in the profile but is excluded for survivorship.
