Data Loader
There was a bug where the Data Loader didn't stop immediately upon receiving a stop flag. This resulted in a misleading error message. We have fixed this issue so that the Data Loader stops immediately, as expected.

Data Quality dashboards
Global filters no longer impact data displayed in Data Quality (DQ) dashboards. Now if you enable these filters in the Search box, they are disabled when you move to the main Search page. For more information, see topic Search.
Jobs
If the Data Loader wasn't able to process a job due to an authentication request timeout, it failed the job and displayed errors on the Job Status page. We added a mechanism to automatically retry a job after an authentication timeout. For more information on job status, see topic View Data Analysis Information about a Job .

Export
When exporting tasks, there was sometimes an unexpected delay in completing a task. The export service failed to recognize the last remaining task as part of the current active export, and started executing the next export request in the export service. We modified the scheduler logic, and now the export service ensures that the current tasks in the active export are completed before starting with the next request.
Hub
  • In the Hub, we added an option to restore the default layout for the Dashboard and the Profile view. Your personalized settings for these UI pages will be reverted to the default layout configured in the UI Modeler. After the default layout is restored, you will still have the option to revert back to your personalized settings for a few minutes. For more information, see topics Refresh facets and restore default layout for Dashboard and Restore default layout for Profile view.
  • We introduced a new UI configuration that initiates a background check, in the view and edit modes, for any updates or data enrichment to a profile. This ensures the most recent and updated version of the profile is always available to the users. While configuring, you can specify the entity types for whose profiles this check must be initiated. You can also opt to have the details refreshed automatically, or display a message asking the user to refresh the page manually. For more information, see topic Adding a Profile.

Model - Define your data model

Check out these new features and enhancements in this weekly release to help you define model, match, merge, and cleanse your data.

Potential Matches
Your match review process just got easier. In the Search and Advanced search pages, you can now search for profiles using the relevance scores and match action attributes, and easily identify profiles that are mostly likely a potential match. For more information, see topic Search profiles using relevance score and match action.
Define default values
Who's got time to define default values for attributes using APIs? Not this Configurator! Go ahead and set a predefined value for your entity or relationship type attribute right when you create it in the Data Modeler. That's right, you no longer need to carefully and methodically get, set, and put the defaultValue field in the Configuration. Not only does this enhancement streamline the process and save time, it ensures data consistency across your organization.
Data Loader
When using the Data Loader, some users encountered an intermittent Rate Exceeded error. We've made a change where the system allows more retries and the data loads succeed, rather than timeout with the Rate Exceeded error.

Engage - Interact with your data

Check out these new features and enhancements in this weekly release to help you configure your tenant and steward and govern your data.

Data Quality Dashboard
The Real-time Data Quality dashboard showed you Data Validation Functions (DVFs) for entity attributes that had invalid time series data. We’ve added internal filters to sift out inactive DVFs so they don’t get in the way when you’re monitoring your data. For more information, see topic Analyze DQ dashboard charts.

Error Messages
Due to a bug, the errorMessage and errorDetailMessage values were swapped for one specific error code. We fixed the issue now, so that error code returns the intended error message.

Integrate - Connect your data

Check out these new features and enhancements in this weekly release to help you import, enrich, and export your data.

Data Loader
Tired of error messages that miss the vital details? To ensure users know what failed, Reltio will now display error messages pulled from the Detailed Error Message field - instead of the Error Message Field - in the API response for all data loads. Previously, the Detailed Error Message field was used only for data loads greater than 10,000 records.
Salesforce Connector
You can now enable the Salesforce Connector to process all entity crosswalks and update all corresponding objects' relationships when merging data from Reltio to Salesforce. To do this, add "processAllRelationCrosswalks": true to the entity mapping for any field relationship or custom object relationship mapping.

  • In the Relationship facet in the Profile view, you can now view the voting score and voting history for entities in the facet. The history tells you more about the number of people who agreed and disagreed, their names, a timestamp of when they voted, and the reason for their disagreement. For more information, see topics Profile Attribute Facets, Rate details in the Relationship facet and Relations.
  • In the Profile view, sometimes validation errors were not displayed when you edited attributes. The changes you made were not saved due to the validation checks, but no error messages were displayed. We corrected the error handling logic, and now the appropriate validation error messages are displayed if there is a validation failure when you are editing the attributes.
Match
Now you can easily compare entity attributes that have multiple values using the new concatenator cleanser. For more information, see topic Value concatenator cleanser.
Data Loader
There was a discrepancy in the way the Data Loader was reporting errors. We changed the way we store the error information, to fix this issue.

Authentication

We introduced a maximum size limit for the authentication object. If a user has too many roles or permissions when creating a token, they will get this error message:

"Authentication object size exceeds the limit. This might be because of very large set of permissions assigned to the user. Please contact the Reltio support team to resolve the problem."

Hub
In the Relationship view, we added a new option that filters and displays the inactive relationships along with the active relationships. The inactive relationships are greyed out, making it easier for you to identify them. For more information, see topics Relationships Perspective and View inactive relationships for an entity.

Engage - Interact with your data

Check out these new features and enhancements in this weekly release to help you configure your tenant and steward and govern your data.

Data Quality

Previously, time-series charts in the Data Quality (DQ) dashboard displayed an error in some cases of localization. Localization was used where it should not have been used, due to which the error was displayed. We fixed the way localization is done in these cases, and localization now no longer affects the time-series charts in the DQ dashboard. For more information, see topic Analyze DQ dashboard charts.

Search
In the Advanced Search, when you upload a file to search for records, ensure the uploaded file has a maximum limit of 5000 records. You can split the file into multiple files if you have more than this limit, and upload them separately during search. An error message is displayed indicating the same when you try to upload a file with more than the specified limit. For more information, see topic Exploring the Advanced Search.

Engage - Interact with your data

Check out these new features and enhancements in this weekly release to help you configure your tenant and steward and govern your data.

Data Quality
  • In the Frequency analysis chart, the Advanced Search page used the string data type for the Search filter. This led to incorrect search results. To ensure relevant search results, we enhanced the filter to use the boolean data type when you use the Advanced Search page. For more information, see topic Frequency analysis.

  • In the Value distribution chart, the Advanced Search page used the After and Before search filters. This led to incorrect search results. To ensure relevant search results, we replaced the filters with the Within filter in the Advanced Search page. For more information, see topic Value distribution.

  • You can now control whether you ignore an entity's updated attribute value in the Profile UI or not using the forceOvForUiUpdates parameter in your entity configuration. By default, the parameter is set to true, so the updated value in the Profile UI is ignored. Set the parameter to false if you don't want the updated attribute values to be ignored. For more information, see topic Add an entity type.

  • We enhanced the Sources perspective to quickly identify nested and simple attributes values for focused crosswalks. Now, all attributes of focused crosswalks are colored and all attributes of non-focused crosswalks are grayed out. For more information, see topic Sources Legend.

Upping our queue monitoring game!

We upgraded our queue monitoring infrastructure to a newer technology. As part of that change, you'll have data going back to April 18, 2023. You will no longer have access to historical data prior to that date. For more information, see topic Monitoring Queues.

Hub
  • In the Profile page, you couldn’t resize the right panel due to its fixed width, to view more details in the main page. This was also the case in the Sources, Graph, and Potential Matches views. We enhanced these views, so you can now resize the right panel to a width that suits your requirement. Hover over the border of the right panel, and drag it to the required width. For more information, see topics Profile Tabs, Get started with the Potential Matches perspective, and Sources Legend.
  • In the Legend tab in Sources view, you can now unmerge sources from the Crosswalk swim lane chart also. The existing option to umerge is available for each entity in the lower section of the Legend tab, but you now have the additional option to unmerge from the Crosswalk swim lane tree chart. For more information, see topic Unmerge Sources.
  • In the Workflow tab in the Profile view, you can now submit comments and complete the action for the workflow task in one click of a button. Enter your comments and click the corresponding action button, which results in your comment being submitted and the action being executed. Of course, you can do these two actions individually too, but this is one click less in your task. For more information, see topic Add a Workflow Task.
Inbox
We enhanced the Inbox application to save and restore your filter preferences in the Inbox, Team, Sent, and All tabs any time you log out and log back into the application. For more information, see topic 2023.1.1.0 weekly release notes | 08-Mar-2023.
Security
We added support for Keycloak, so you can use this third-party Identity Provider (IdP) as an Authorization Server for OAuth 2.0/OIDC Single Sign On access to the Reltio Connected Data Platform. For more information, see topics OAuth 2.0/OpenID Connect (OIDC) Single Sign On (SSO) and Set up Keycloak IdP for OAuth/OIDC.
Tenant Management
Our documentation on the Delete Tenant Data job only mentioned the ROLE_ADMIN_TENANT and ROLE_ADMIN_CUSTOMER system roles, which was not enough to enable non-administrative users to run the job. The documentation now more clearly describe how to do this based on the Reltio Security model using role-based permissions. For more information, see topics 2023.1.1.0 weekly release notes | 08-Mar-2023 and Run a Delete tenant data job.

Model - Define your data model

Check out these new features and enhancements in this weekly release to help you define model, match, merge, and cleanse your data.
Error processing
There was a problem where Reltio processed some errors incorrectly. The parent entity, child entity, and reference attributes were saved independently from each other. If any of these three objects encountered an error, only that object wouldn't save, however, the other objects saved.

We have updated processing, so if any one of the objects: parent entity, child entity, or reference attributes, encounters an error, the entire profile won't load.

  • In the Profile view History tab, we now compare the historical slice that you select from the tab with the current view by default. The details in the selected slice are compared to the current view and the changes are displayed in the Profile view. You also can compare it with the previous historical slice. For more information, see topic History tab.
  • In the Profile view, when you added a date attribute for a new or existing profile, a completely different date was sometimes displayed. The local date was calculated incorrectly, which led to this issue. We now ensure that the local date is calculated correctly, so the profile displays the date as you you added it.
Console
We fixed a bug that caused a resumed data load job to become stuck. For more information on resuming a job, see topic Data Loader API upload requirements.

Model

Data validation function
When you included a lookup code in the Data Validation Function (DVF), the non-OV values were also validated. The lookup codes were not resolved correctly. We fixed the logic for resolving the lookup codes during validation, and now the DVF works as expected. For more information, see topic Data validation function.

Spring forward!
Not only did the clocks change for daylight savings time in some parts of the world, our weekly release day is changing this Spring, too. As part of our commitment to disruption-free releases, we're adjusting our release day to align with times of low usage on Mondays. That means this is our last Wednesday release! As you might expect, we're going to give the pit crew a chance to retool our engines next week, so we're ready to roll out our first Monday release on 17-Apr-2023. For more information, see topic Reltio Release Process and Schedule.

  • We changed the default behavior of the existing transitive matches filter in the new UI's Potential Matches view to hide the transitive matches for an entity. Select the Show transitive matches filter to display the transitive matches for the entity. For more information, see topic Select the potential matches for a profile.
  • In the Hub, when you created or edited a profile and added attributes using the option, you couldn't immediately determine where the attribute was added. You had to scroll through the Profile page to find the newly added attribute and then add values to it. We enhanced this logic, so now you are immediately taken to the new attribute as soon as you add it using the +MORE ATTRIBUTES option. For more information, see topic Adding a Profile.
Workflow
Some jobs in the Console Data Loader service failed when you sent a Workflow API request and were assigned multiple roles. The authorization header in the request exceeded the maximum string size. We increased the default size of the authorization header in the request for this service to prevent jobs from failing. For more information, see topic Reindex Interactions Task.

Console
We enhanced the way nested attributes from end-dated crosswalks are displayed in the Sources UI. The filled circle icon is replaced with a hollow circle icon. Use this information to easily identify attributes from end-dated crosswalks. For more information, see topic Managing Crosswalk Dates.

  • In the Profile statistic dashboard in the Hub, you could see wrong data in some of the map charts configured for the tenant. Country names referenced on the map were incorrect and the Advanced search displayed details for an entirely different country when selected on the map. We updated the data in the topography JSON file and now the correct data is displayed in the map charts. For more information, see topics Profile Statistic Dashboard and Configuring Dashboards.
  • In the Profile view, you could save a customer entity without providing mandatory information. The appropriate error message was not displayed on saving the profile. We fixed the error handling process, and now you can save a new customer entity only after providing the mandatory information. For more information, see topic Editing profiles.

Data Validation Function

We provided additional information in the banner notification that displayed in the Profile view to provide additional information on Data Validation Function (DVF) error functions. Use this information to troubleshoot the cause of the error or warning. For more information, see topic Data validation function.

Reltio Cleanser
The L3 configuration didn't save if you included the escape character (\b) in the scrub parameter in the StringFunctionCleanser. We fixed this issue, so now if you include the escape (/b) character, the configuration is correctly saved. For more information, see topic String Cleanser.
