Learn more about the Potential Match perspective.
If you're a data steward working with profiles, then this topic is for you. Using the Potential Match perspective, you can view profiles that are marked as potential matches. For more information, see topic Potential Matches perspective .
To access the Potential Match Perspective:
- In the Reltio Hub, select Search and select a profile.
- In the Profile view, select the Potential Matches view from the horizontal menu.
- Entity details
- The main entity for which you want to view the potential matches. By default, this page will display three other profiles that are potential matches for this entity. You can select more profiles to compare, as needed. You'll see the following information for each entity:
- Entity name, Entity type, Entity ID and other primary and secondary data labels for the profile.
- By default, the perspective displays in the column view, which is a side-by-side view of profiles. You can view up to a maximum of four potential matches for comparison. To compare more records, you can switch to the table view.
- The Operational value (OV) of an attribute. You have the option to view the non-OV value for comparison.
- The data tenant source to which the entity belongs. You can sort profiles based on the data tenant. For more information, see topic Find potential matches manually for a Profile.
- Match method displays the following details:
- Match rules - the rules based on which the profile was selected as a potential match. When you select a profile as a potential match in the Find Matches tab, the Match rules will display the Manual rule to denote that the profile was selected manually. For more information, see topic Find potential matches manually for a Profile. You can also view the relevance score for each match rule, which is displayed as a percentage. The relevance score in the range of 0 to 1 is converted to percentage and displayed here. The negative match rules are also displayed here, if applicable. For more information, see topic Negative Rule. Select the arrow icon to expand and hide the rules. Here's a sample of the match rules:
- Match IQ - the recommendations for the profile, which will help you in deciding about the match. For more information, see topic Train an ML model from scratch with Match IQ.
- Not a match - If the record was marked as Not a match earlier, this field displays the "Not a match" label here.
- Relevance score - the relevance score for the profile. Relevance-based match rule generates a score between two profiles. Based on the relevance score, the data steward can decide if the two profiles are a match or not. A profile can have similarities, as well as differences between them. In such instances, the data steward can look at the relevance score to decide whether to merge the profiles or not. For example, a score of 80% or more would help you to easily determine if the profile is a match. For more information on relevance score, see topic Relevance-Based Matching - Detailed Explanation.
You can hover over the relevance score to view the rule(s) based on which the score was determined. A sample is given below:
- Match actions: You can either merge a profile with the main entity or mark it as not a match.
- Sources: The source system of the potential match, which is indicated with icons. Hover over each icon to display the name of the data source. Profiles with more than one source display multiple source icons. Reltio icons indicate data obtained through the Reltio platform or API. Icons displaying DT indicate a Data Tenant source.
