Relationships Perspective
The Relationship Perspective - New View for a profile displays the relationship details of the entity with other entities.
The Relationships perspective lists the relationships this profile has with other profiles and displays details such as the Profile name, relationship Type, Directional Label, Start Date and End Date, and all the associated attributes.
Use this perspective to:
- Filter relationships - By default, all types of relationship details are displayed but you can filter these details to view relationships belonging to a specific type. By filtering relationships based on a type, you can compare attributes between relationships of that type. Note: You can specify a relationship type to be displayed by default in the Relationship perspective. Include the
defaultRelationshipType
parameter in your Profile view section of the UI configuration file along with the relationship type you want displayed by default. Here's a sample configuration:
When you log in, as per the above configuration, the Relationship perspective displays all the HCP to HCO relationships by default. You can choose a different relationship type in the Filter section, which will be considered your preference and displayed by default the next time you open the Relationship perspective page."profile": [ ... { "visible": [ ... ], "label": "Relationships", "class": "Relationships", "defaultRelationshipType": "configuration/relationTypes/HCPtoHCO" }, ]
- Drill into attributes - You can display relationship attributes in a single column. By default, five attributes are displayed. You can click on the View All Attributes link to view all attributes for the relationship.
- Filter data - You can filter data by using the Filter button just above the table. For example, you can filter data based on Start and End dates.
- Show/Hide columns - This option allows you to personalize your view of the table. You can add or remove columns depending upon the data that you want to analyze. For example, you can choose to add Winner Source System and Count columns to the table.
- View Inactive relationships - You can view the inactive relationships for an entity. By default, the Relationship view only displays active relations, but you can choose the Show inactive relationships checkbox from the Settings menu to also include inactive relationships in this view. For more information, see topic View inactive relationships for an entity.
- Delete a relationship - You can delete a relationship by selecting the Delete option from the More options icon.
Click on a particular row to view more details about the relationship. Click on Profile in a row to display the profile details.
Display limit
There is a limit to the maximum number of relationships that can be displayed in the Relationship perspective based on tenant configuration. By default, this value is 10,000.
If this limit is exceeded, the relationship details are still displayed but the sorting and filtering are disabled to optimize performance.
