Accelerate the Value of Data

Working with Match Rule Editor

You can use the Match Rule Editor to rebuild, create or analyze match rules.

The Match Rules page in Data Modeler allows you to perform any of the following tasks:
  • Rebuild match table by using the Tenant Management application
  • Analyze match rules
  • Create a new match rule
Let's understand each of these tasks.

Select Data Modeler in Console. From the landing page Entity types, select an Entity type.

In the Entity type details page, click the Match Rules tab or scroll down on the page until you reach the Match Rules section.

The Match Rules section displays the Rebuild Match Table link, Analyze button, and the Create New button.

You can sort on the Label, Name, Type or Scope of the Match Rules. You can view the match rule details by clicking an existing match rule as shown below.

You can modify the details of an existing match rule either by clicking the Edit (pen) icon that appears when you hover-over a match rule, or, by clicking the Edit (pen) icon on the Details panel as shown above.

Rebuilding a match table

You may need to rebuild a match table if you have loaded data or changed a match rule.

Note: If you change a match but don't rebuild the match table, the updated match rule won't be applied to your tenant data.

To rebuild a match table, select Rebuild Match Table in the Match Rules section.

Note: Select Rebuild Match Table link only if a match rule exists.

Clicking on the Rebuild Match Table link opens up the Tenant Management application’s Create a new job page. For more details, see Creating a Rebuild Match Tables Job.

Analyzing match rules

You may want to analyze existing match rules associated with the selected entity type. Select the Analyze button in the Match Rules section.

For existing match rules, download the match rules analysis report by selecting the Analyze button. See an example match rules analysis' report below:

For more information about analyzing the match rules, see topics Analyze Match Rules and Analyzing Match Rules.
