Creating a New Match Rule
You can use the Match Rule Editor to create match rules.
- On the
Match Rules
tab, clickCreate New
. - Update the
Create match rule
page with necessary details. - In the Label field, enter a name.The name is displayed in the Hub/MDM UI. When you enter the Name in the Label field, the system displays the unique Uniform Resource Identification (URI) of the match rule in the Name field. You can manually modify the value in the Name field, if required.
- Select Internal or External or both in the Scope tab.You can choose to publish the match rule for internal and/or external matching by selecting one of the following:
- External - the match type is used to match data from an external file with the data in the tenant.
- Internal - the match type is used to match the data within your tenant along with the match rules configured for the tenant.
- Select the Match by Operational Value (OV) option, to allow the match rule to consider only the Operational Values (OV).
- In the Match type section, select the Match using Relevance based rule type checkbox to associate actions based on match relevance of the entities being matched.Note: If you clear the Match using Relevance based rule type checkbox, You can select a preset Match action or create a new one.
- Select the Match action and define a corresponding Relevance score range.The relevance score range indicates the lowest and highest values that result in a match. If this rule defines multiple Match actions, the lowest Relevance score range defined in the first Match action must match the highest Relevance score range defined in the section Match action. For example, if you define a range of 0.51 to 1 for the first Match action, the highest score of second Match action must be 0.51.
- Click + ADD MORE ACTION to define a new Match action.Note: The + ADD MORE ACTION button is enabled when the complete Relevance score range is not defined.
- Click + ADD MORE ACTION to define a new Match action.
- Click + CREATE NEW MATCH ACTION from the Match action drop-down to create a new Match action, which can be used to define a Match action.
Enter the Match action name and select a micro action from the drop-down and click SAVE.
- Click SAVE to save the match rule.Note: The SAVE button is enabled only when:
- All fields in the Create match rule page are set appropriately and mandatory fields are updated.
- Relevance score range is defined correctly and there are no intervals in the Relevance score range.
