Activate a segment

Learn how to activate a segment for Reltio Customer 360 in the Reltio Hub.

You are excited to use the segments that you have created from your data to have an impact on your selected audience. You can easily leverage data segments by sending them to downstream applications or platforms, like marketing platforms, for use in marketing campaigns.

On selecting Segmentation from the slide-out menu, the Segments page lists the existing segments.

  1. From the All segments list, hover your mouse over a segment and select the Activate icon .
  2. In the Select destinations for syncing data window, select the destination platforms or applications where you want to send the segmented data.

    Note: The destination platforms or applications to which you can sync your segments depend on your integrations with those platforms and are not available out-of-the-box. You can build RIH recipes and register your RIH account in segmentation and activation service to integrate with these downstream systems.

  3. Select Start Syncing to initiate the sync between the segment and your selected destination platform or application.
    A message appears informing you that you’ll receive an email when the process is complete.
Though the segments are dynamic and the results get automatically updated when underlying data changes, data synchronization is batched, not real-time. Therefore, every time new profiles enter a specific segment, you must activate the segment and sync the data with the destination platform again.
