Enable MFA

Learn how to enable MFA.

Enabling Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is crucial in enhancing the security of non-SSO user accounts in Reltio. MFA requires users to provide an additional verification factor beyond their password, significantly reducing the risk of unauthorized access. This section provides a detailed guide on enabling MFA for your organization, covering both email-based and app-based MFA options.

  • Global applicability: MFA is not a per-tenant feature and applies to users of your organization regardless of the tenants they access.
  • Administrative responsibility: Administrators are responsible for enabling MFA.
To enable MFA:
  1. Access the Reltio Console using your administrator credentials.
  2. Go to User Management.
  3. Select Multi-Factor Authentication.
  4. Toggle the option to enable Multi-Factor Authentication for your organization.
This action will apply MFA to all non-SSO users under the customer, regardless of the tenants they want to access.
  5. Select the MFA options. You can select any of the following options:
    • Email: When you select the Email option, the following confirmation message opens:

Note: When you enable MFA, Email option is selected automatically. Enrolled users will automatically receive verification codes via email each time they log in.

Select PROCEED to continue with the user enrollment for e-mail based MFA. For more details, see topic Enroll for email-based MFA.

    • Authenticator: When you select the Authenticator option, the following confirmation message opens:

Note: After enabling this option, users must enroll in an authentication app. This option provides a higher level of security compared to email-based MFA.

Select PROCEED to continue with the user enrollment for app based MFA. For more details, see topic
