Reltio L3 Layer -- Customer tenant

The L3 layer is yours to modify--its part of your Reltio tenant.

It's your party!

To start with, your L3 layer inherits the L2 and L1 configurations by reference, but then you decide what to change. You can customize the objects in L3 as a JSON file or in the Reltio Console. Then you can easily retrieve the configuration from the tenant, edit it, and apply it back to the tenant using the Configuration API.

Typically, the L3 inherits all the objects from the L2 container. However, for your flexibility, that inheritance isn't required—the L3 can standalone. Keep in mind though, a standalone configuration requires you to remove the L2 reference.
Note: Objects from the L1 layer are also inherited when the L2 is referenced.
Take advantage of Reltio enhancements
Important: We strongly recommend that you configure the L3 to reference one of the Reltio industry-specific L2 containers. Doing so provides the L3 with all the L1 industry-agnostic objects, as well as the industry-specific objects from the L2 container. Referencing the L2 also ensures your configuration continues to take advantage of enhancements Reltio makes to the models and objects defined in the L1 and L2 layers.
