Suggest and save profiles using the authoring workflow
Learn how to review, suggest, and save profiles in the authoring workflow.
When you create a profile in Suggest mode, an authoring workflow task is created. Based on the workflow configuration, reviewers can review, update, approve, or reject the pending profile. After all required reviewers approve the profile, the last reviewer accepts the task to save it. In some workflows, a rejection can also complete the process. This procedure shows an authoring workflow with two reviewers: Reviewer 1 and Reviewer 2.
Prerequisites
- Add a profile using the Collaborative Profile Creation feature in the pending state.
-
Your role must be assigned the
INITIATE_CHANGE_REQUESTpermission to update the entity andACCEPT_CHANGE_REQUEST,INITIATE_CHANGE_REQUEST, andCREATEpermissions to approve the entity.
If your approval moves the task to another reviewer, the page closes and you're redirected to the default page. If your approval is the final step in the workflow, the profile is saved in the database. You can then search for the profile in Hub and open it in the Profile view.
