Learn how to modify a Survivorship group in a data modeler.

1. Open the Data Modeler application:
   1. From the Applications menu, select Console.
   2. In the Console Configuration section, select Data Modeler.
   3. From the Select tenant drop-down menu at the top of the page, select the desired tenant. The tenant name is shown in the menu bar, and the Entity types page opens.
2. On the Entity Types page, select the entity that contains the Survivorship group you want to edit.

   

3. In the Survivorship groups page, open the Edit Survivorship group page in either of the following ways:
   • Hover your mouse pointer over the desired group and select the Edit icon ().

     

   • Hover your mouse pointer over the desired group and select the Information icon (). In the information panel, select the Edit icon.

     

4. In the Edit Survivorship group page, edit the desired attributes:

   

   1. In the Group details section, edit any of the following details:
      • Name: The display name of your Survivorship group.
      • Description: A brief explanation of the purpose of your Survivorship group.
      • Role: User roles for accessing this Survivorship group.

      • Default: Whether or not to use the default group roles.

   2. In the Rules section, edit or add attributes and corresponding Survivorship strategies to the survivor group:

      • Attribute: View the attribute name.

      • Strategy: Select another value from the drop-down list.

      • Fallback: Add or edit a fallback strategy.

      • Filter: Add or edit a strategy filter condition.

      • + Add Attribute: Create a new attribute.

   3. Select ADVANCED EDITOR to configure the Survivorship group in JSON format.

      

   4. Select RULES BUILDER on Advanced Editor page to identify attributes and set conditions for your Survivorship groups. For information, see topic Working with the Rules Builder
5. At the top of the page, select Save to add the Survivorship groups. Alternatively, select Cancel to return to the previous page without saving your changes.
   Note: If you click Cancel or try to close the window and you have unsaved changes, a confirmation message is displayed. Click Leave if you want to discard your changes, or, click Cancel and then save your changes.
