Loading Entities into a Tenant

You need to select the file that contains the entities that you want to upload.

This task explains how you can load entities into a tenant.

To load entities from a selected file into a tenant, perform the following steps:

  1. Navigate to the Console.
  2. Click on the Data Loader application.
  3. Click LOAD DATA.

  4. Select Entities.

  5. Select the location of the file using one of the following options:
    • Local file system
    • Amazon S3
    • Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
    • Microsoft Azure Blob Storage
    • SFTP
    You must provide access credentials for all the other source systems apart from the local file system.
    Note: When you upload a file from the local file system, the file size must not exceed 50 MB.
  6. Select the type of the file delimiter.

    For example, .CSV, Excel (.xlsx),and JSON.

    Selecting the type will help you upload the file in the selected format.

    Note: By default, the CSV file type is selected.

    You can change the default option to Excel for uploading the .xlsx file type. Similarly, you can choose JSON for uploading the .json file type.

  7. Select the type of file delimiter.

    On clicking the CSV option, the type of delimiters are displayed.

    Note: The file delimiter selection is available only for CSV file types.

    The delimiters are available for all storage sources. The delimiters are applicable only for CSV files.

    Amazon S3

    On clicking Amazon S3, the credentials that must be specified for the Amazon S3 source are displayed:

    Note: The File delimiter type is applicable for CSV files only. Other file types such as JSON, will not be affected by this field.

    SFTP

    On clicking SFTP, the credentials that must be specified for the SFTP source are displayed.

    GCP

    On clicking Google Cloud Storage, the credentials that must be specified for the GCP source are displayed:

    Microsoft Azure Blob Storage

    On clicking Azure Blob Storage, the credentials that must be specified for the Azure source are displayed:

  8. Click CONTINUE.
