Label match pairs in Bulk match review

Learn how to label potential match pairs with an Agree or Disagree decision in Bulk match review.

In Review mode, you give feedback on potential match pairs without changing your data. Each decision you save records whether a pair represents the same real-world entity, and Reltio uses your decisions to calculate the Match precision score.

The following role can label match pairs in Bulk match review:

Prerequisites

Before you begin, confirm the following requirements:

You must have enabled Bulk match review and Review mode in your tenant.
You must have potential match pairs for the entity type that you want to label.

To label match pairs in Bulk match review

In the Hub, from the left navigation pane, select Bulk match review.

The Bulk match review page opens and displays the entity types as tabs.
Select the tab for the entity type whose pairs you want to label.
In the upper-right corner of the page, open the mode drop-down list and select Reviewing (evaluate without changing data).
The list offers two modes:
- Resolving (apply changes to data): Make changes directly to your data. Actions like Merge immediately update records in the system.
- Reviewing (evaluate without changing data): Give feedback on potential matches without changing any data. Your responses help calculate the match precision score.

The drop-down button shows REVIEWING, and the page header shows the number of pairs reviewed; for example, 2 pairs reviewed.
Optional: To narrow the list of pairs, select ADVANCED SEARCH or use the quick filters panel.
To label a single pair, point to the pair and select the thumbs-up icon (Agree) or the thumbs-down icon (Disagree).

The icons appear when you point to a pair. Select Agree when the two profiles represent the same real-world entity. Select Disagree when they represent different real-world entities.

The number of pairs reviewed in the page header updates.
To label several pairs at once:
1. Select one or more check boxes from the Profile column.
  
  The Match Review bar appears.
2. In the Match Review bar, select AGREE or DISAGREE.
  
  The number in parentheses is the number of selected pairs; for example, AGREE (2).
3. In the Agree Selected Pairs or Disagree Selected Pairs dialog box, select CONFIRM.
  
  The dialog box states that the decision is applied to all selected pairs and may not be easily reversible. Select CANCEL to close the dialog box without saving.

Reltio applies the same decision to every selected pair, and the number of pairs reviewed in the page header updates.

Result

For each decision, Reltio saves the entity pair, the label (Agree or Disagree), the reviewer, and the time you made your selection. Your decisions do not merge any profiles or remove any pair from the list of potential matches. Reltio uses them to calculate the Match precision score.

Note: The first time you label a match pair, saving your decision can take longer while Reltio allocates the resources it needs.

Verification steps

To confirm that Reltio saved your decisions, perform the following steps:

Refresh the Bulk match review page, select Reviewing (evaluate without changing data) in the mode drop-down list, and hover over the entities you've labeled.
Confirm that the number of pairs reviewed in the page header includes the pairs that you labeled.
