Add, edit, and delete relationships
Learn how to add, edit, or delete a relationship to link profiles.
In the Profile view, the Relations facet shows how the current entity is related to other entities. Use this facet to add, edit, or delete relationships.
Prerequisites
Your assigned role must have create, read, update, and delete permissions.
Add a relation
To add a relationship in the Relations facet, follow these steps.
- In the Hub, search for and open the profile you want to update.
- Select Editing mode from the dropdown.
- Navigate to the Relations facet and select ADD.
- In the Select relationship type dropdown, select the relationship type (for example, locates or affiliated with).
- In the Select profile dropdown, select the profile to relate (for example, Individual). The list is filtered based on the selected relationship type and the current profile's entity type (source or target). It includes inherited entity types and refreshes when you change the relationship type.
- Select MORE ATTRIBUTES to display additional fields.
- Enter additional details as needed. The available fields depend on the relationship type.
- Select APPLY.
The relationship is added to the profile and is listed in the Relations facet.
Edit a relationship
To edit a relationship in the Relations facet:
- In the Relations facet, hover over the relationship you want to update
- Select the Edit icon (pencil) from the options displayed.
- Update the required fields and select APPLY.
The relationship is updated in the profile and listed in the Relations facet.
Delete a relationship
To delete a relationship in the Relations facet:
- In the Relations facet, hover over the relationship you want to delete.
- Select the Delete icon (trash can).
The relationship is deleted from the profile and is removed from the Relations facet.
