Learn how to clone an existing profile.

Now that you have the Clone a profile under your belt and have also configured your tenant, you’re ready to clone an existing profile in the Profile perspective.

To clone a profile:

1. In the Search page in the Hub, select the profile you want to clone.
2. In the Profile perspective, select Clone from the dropdown list on the right side.
3. In the displayed confirmation message, click Proceed.

   

4. In the cloned profile, which is displayed in Editing mode, add or update any attribute values.
   Note: All attributes, including the nested attributes are copied while cloning. In the Editing mode, you can add new values, clear an existing value by making it a null, or add a suffix or prefix to an existing value.
5. Click Save.
   Note: If you decide you don't want to save the cloned profile, you can undo the cloning process. For more information, see topic Undo the cloned profile.

   In the screenshot above, based on the example configuration we gave in topic Configure profile cloning, the First Name field is prefixed with Copy of and the Age field is null.
