Profiles with invalid data

Learn about the data in the Profiles with invalid data DQ dashboard.

The Real-Time Data Quality (DQ) Dashboard enables you to monitor the quality of data in your Reltio tenant. After selecting an entity and attributes in the DQ dashboard, you can analyze active Data Validation Functions (DVFs) information in the Profiles with invalid data DQ chart. For more details, see Real-Time Data Quality dashboard charts and Analyze DQ dashboard charts.

If you’re a Data Analyst, Data Steward, or Business User, this information is for you! Use the metrics in this chart to identify where you may need to define specific attributes in profiles.

Data definition

This chart provides the following metrics:
Data labelData definition
Profiles with invalid dataA table that lists the validation functions associated with the attribute, the count of profiles and percentage (rounded up) of profiles and visual representation in the form of a horizontal bar chart:
  • Validation functions: A list of DVFs.
  • Profiles: The number of profiles associated with the attribute.
  • A bar chart
Tip: Hover your mouse pointer over the blue bar chart to display a tooltip with the name of the data validation function and the actual (rather than rounded) number of profiles.

Chart drill downs

Select a chart block to drill down to the Advanced search page, which displays records of relevant profiles, and then select a specific profile to drill down to its Attributes view, where you can admire existing data or add missing data.

Data analysis scenarios

So, armed with these amazing metrics, what can you deduce about your data correctness?
Important: You can create a data validation function to monitor analytic, simple, and nested Reltio attribute types but not for reference data attributes from other sources.

No data validation functions

You can view at a glance when there are no profiles with values in the selected attribute type.

Use the Define some data validation functions link to configure data validation functions. For more information, see Create DVFs in the Data Modeler.

Active DVFs with valid data

You can view at a glance when all of your profiles contain values in the selected attribute type.

Active DVFs with no errors

You can view at a glance when all is good with the validation functions for the selected attribute type.
