Update and rerun a failed automated long-running task

Learn how to follow up on a failed automated long-running task in Reltio AgentFlow so that you can review the failure, correct the prompt, and prepare the task for the next run.

Prerequisites:
  • You need an active Reltio agent with AgentFlow enabled.

  • You must have access to Task Management.

  • You must have created ad scheduled a long-running task

Use Task Management to review failed jobs, inspect related conversations, and update prompts so that future runs use corrected input.

To follow up on a failed automated long-running task
  1. In Reltio AgentFlow, select Task Management from the left navigation pane. The Task Management page is displayed with a list of available tasks.
  2. Select the task that contains the failed job. The Details tab shows the task configuration, including the task name, status, agent, user prompt, and schedule information.
  3. Select the Jobs tab and locate the failed job that you want to review.
  4. Select the failed job to view the details.

    Review the details of the job to determine whether the job failed before execution or during processing.

    Note: You can also select Go to Conversation to open the conversation associated with the failed job and review its details. Use the related conversation to understand why the job failed. The conversation can provide more detail about the plan, follow-up questions, or other prompt-related issues that prevented the task from running successfully. For more information, see
    1. To fix an incomplete or incorrect prompt, select Fix Prompt.
    2. Correct the prompt so that it clearly identifies the records to process and the rules or actions the agent should apply.
    3. Select Update Prompt. The Job details page is displayed, with a message indicating the prompt is updated and will be used for the next run.

Result

After the task runs again, you can verify that the job completed successfully and review the updated job details.
