Monitor and review an automated long-running task

Learn how to monitor long-running task executions and review job details in AgentFlow so that you can track progress, inspect outcomes, and identify items that need attention.

Prerequisite
  • You need an active Reltio agent with AgentFlow enabled.

  • You must have access to Task Management.

  • You have permission to create and schedule tasks.

Use Task Management to monitor the jobs created by your long-running tasks. Each execution runs as a separate job with its own status, runtime details, execution metrics, outcome, and conversation.
To monitor and review an automated long running task
  1. In the AgentFlow, select Task Management from the left navigation pane. A list of tasks is displayed in the right pane.
  2. From the list of tasks, select the task you want to monitor or review. The following page opens:

The Details tab shows the task configuration for the selected automated long-running task. It includes the task name, current status, agent, task type, creation time, the User Prompt used to define the task scope, and the schedule information for the next run.

If the task is a one-time task, the Schedule & Next run section shows that no additional runs are scheduled. For a recurring task, it displays the next run date and time followed by the frequency, for example Daily at 07:00 AM.

  3. Select the Jobs tab.

The Jobs tab shows the full job history for the selected task. Each entry represents a job run and includes the job ID, run date and time, and current status.

For recurring tasks, this tab lists each scheduled run as a separate job.

  4. Open a job from this list to review its execution details and outcomes.

In the Job configuration details and Runtime metrics sections, you can see the status of the job (if it's running or completed) and outcome information such as auto-accepted items, items that need review, and failed items. Use this information to understand how the job completed and which results need additional attention.

  5. In the Execution Process section, expand a step to view the Agent's activity.

View the agent’s activity, intermediate messages, and tool-level actions for that part of the execution.

  6. Select the Go to Conversation option to open the conversation associated with the selected job.
Note: Each job has its own conversation. Open the related conversation when you need more detailed execution context, want to inspect results further, or need to continue follow-up on specific outcomes.
    1. Review the conversation for more detail about the job execution.
The conversation shows additional details about the plan, execution flow, tool activity, and final outcomes for that job.
    2. Inspect the job results and any items that require follow-up.
    3. Continue follow-up in the same conversation, if needed.
Result

You can monitor scheduled, in-progress, and completed jobs from Task Management. When a job finishes, AgentFlow sends an email summary with processed and error counts and a link to the dashboard, where you can review the detailed report for that run.
