Create and manage segments with Segmenter

Attention: This feature is available to limited users through the Reltio Early Access (EA) program. Interested in finding out more about this feature or participating in our EA program? Get details in topic Early Access (EA) features.

Segmenter supports a guided conversational flow for segmentation in AgentFlow, allowing you to define an audience, review the interpreted request, add segment details, and save the segment, all within a single interaction.

Use this topic to create a new segment or manage segment tasks within the same conversation, such as reviewing results, inspecting the segment, updating details, or moving to another supported segmentation task.

If Segmenter needs more information, it asks clarifying questions so you can refine the request before the segment is created or updated.

Create a segment in Segmenter

  1. Login to the AgentFlow workspace in your browser, then select your tenant and environment to open AgentFlow.
  2. In AgentFlow, open Segmenter from the left navigation pane if it is already available. Otherwise, go to the left navigation panel, select Discover agents, locate Segmenter on the Discover Agents page, and launch it.
  3. Enter a natural language request that describes the segment you want to create or the audience you want to include.

    Example requests:

    • I need to create a segment for inactive Gold customers.
    • Create a segment of customers in Europe under 30 who made a purchase in the last 3 months.
  4. Review the criteria that Segmenter interprets from your request.
  5. If Segmenter asks a clarifying question such as missing audience details or filter values, provide the missing audience details, filter values, segment details, or other requested information.
  6. If Segmenter identifies unsupported or incorrect input, review the suggested alternative and continue with the supported request.
  7. Provide a segment name when prompted by Segmenter, or specify it at any point during the conversation using phrases like name my segment or name the segment you just created.
  8. Review the completed segment definition, and then confirm the request to create and save the segment.
  9. Review the returned summary and results in the conversation.
  10. Acknowledge the result, or continue with another supported action in the same conversation if required.

Result and follow-up actions

The segment is created and saved from the conversation. Review the returned summary and results to confirm that the segment matches your intended audience.

Depending on the returned results, you can continue the conversation to inspect the segment outcome, review supported details, check the returned status, or move to the next supported segmentation task.
