Reltio release process

Learn about how Reltio delivers previews, major releases, bi-weekly releases, and staged deployments across your tenants.

Reltio uses a structured release process to deliver new capabilities, enhancements, and fixes across your tenants with minimal disruption. This topic explains how major releases, preview features, Limited Availability, Early Access (EA), bi-weekly releases, and staged deployments across tenants work.

Major releases

Reltio has two major releases each year, in April and October. In these releases, Reltio introduces new General Availability (GA) features, Limited Availability features or offerings, Early Access (EA) offerings, and major enhancements.

For a list of recent and upcoming major releases, see topic Release cadence and delivery schedule.

Preview features

Reltio provides a preview period for specified features before they are officially available as GA in a major release.
  • Scope: Previews are for feature-level functionality.
  • Dates: The Preview period begins before the major GA release date. Reltio communicates these dates in advance so that you can prepare for internal testing and provide feedback.
  • Tenants: During the preview period, Reltio makes specified new features and enhancements available in Development and Test tenants, but they remain turned off by default. To test a preview feature, turn it on in your Development or Test environment first. Production environments receive these features and enhancements in the GA release, and you can turn them on there when you are ready.
  • Contents: Reltio holds a Release Overview webinar before a release to describe the new features and enhanced functionality. The Reltio Product Marketing team shares the webinar date and details with the community a few weeks before the release.

To determine whether Preview features are available on your development tenant, view the About box. It displays the current Reltio release version and provides a link to the major release notes, which identify Preview features available on your development tenant.

Limited Availability

Limited Availability applies to a feature or offering that is included as part of the platform but may be limited by cloud, geography, or planned functionality. The Limited Availability classification will remain in place until those limits are solved. Limited Availability is not a beta or testing program. It meets standard quality standards, receives the same support as a GA production feature, and is available for selective customer and partner use.

Early Access (EA) features

Early Access (EA) applies to new offerings, not features. EA offerings are available to customers and partners who agree to deploy, adopt, and provide feedback on the offering. They may be deployed to Development, Test, and Production environments, although support and availability caveats can apply. The Early Access program enables us to get early feedback from customers, so we can improve the feature functionality, documentation, and logistics such as pricing, infrastructure requirements, and scaling parameters.

The documentation identifies features in the Early Access program. If you are interested in an EA offering, open a support ticket to request access to the EA program.

Deprecated features

Reltio periodically deprecate older products, features, and services. In certain cases, we replace them with new and improved products. We let you know well in advance when we intend to discontinue or make backward incompatible changes to our products, features, and functionality.

Reltio will use commercially reasonable efforts to continue to operate those identified services, versions, and features without these changes for at least one year after that announcement, unless (as Reltio determines in its reasonable good faith judgment):
  • required by law or third-party relationship (including if there is a change in applicable law or relationship)

    or

  • doing so could create a security risk or substantial economic or material technical burden

Find out about features we plan to deprecate in topic Deprecation Notices at a glance.

Bi-weekly releases

Reltio also delivers bi-weekly releases that include enhancements and required fixes. These releases deliver value faster through smaller changes with consistent quality.

While we deliver these releases every other week, you are in control of what you enable:
  • Learn about new features and fixes in the Release Notes we publish with each release.
  • Choose which features or enhancements, such as configurable functionality or backward-compatible API changes, you want to enable at your convenience.

For a list of recent and upcoming bi-weekly releases, see topic Release cadence and delivery schedule.

Deployment process

Reltio uses a 3-stage deployment process. Development is stage 1, Test is stage 2, and Production is stage 3. Stage 1 and stage 2 are deployed together.
