Rollback of UI config changes and trouble shooting tips
Learn how to troubleshoot for error when you are updating the UI configuration file.
If the UI configuration update causes issues — such as missing screens, broken layouts, or failed profile views — you can roll back to the previous configuration using your backup file.
To roll back using a saved configuration file:
-

Open the Reltio Console.
 -

Upload the previously backed-up JSON configuration file.
 -

Validate the upload and confirm that expected UI elements are restored.

Always verify that the backup file includes the complete configuration — not just a partial section (e.g., only layout or properties).
| Symptom | Possible Cause | Suggested Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Screen missing from UI | Missing or incorrect layout[] entry | Check class, label, and canRead values |
| JSON upload fails with 400 or 500 error | Invalid JSON syntax | Validate the file using a JSON linter |
| Profile tab does not load | Missing views[] or incorrect layout[] configuration | Ensure each view id is valid and referenced correctly |
