Configure Reltio UI with the configuration file
Learn about the new UI configuration file structure.
The UI configuration file defines how you experience the Reltio application interface. The configuration controls navigation menus, dashboard views, profile screens, and global UI behavior across your tenant. The configuration is stored as a JSON file, which you can download and update as required.
You can also update the UI configuration through the UI Modeler in the Console.
Modify the UI configuration when you need to:
- Add, update, or remove screens like Search, Dashboard, or Data Quality
- Customize dashboard charts or layout per user role
- Control profile tabs and field visibility by entity type
Key capabilities and limitations
The UI configuration supports multiple advanced features. Some of them are:
- Role-based access to screens and components
- Visual layouts using grid coordinates
- Multi-step authoring forms
- Chart and map visualizations
- Custom scripts with API integration
- The UI configuration doesn't control backend logic or data model behavior.
- Structural changes require valid JSON and correct references to configuration URIs.
