Connecting Salesforce to your Reltio Tenant

Learn how to connect your Salesforce organization to your Reltio tenant.

After you have installed the application for the first time, you need to ensure that a connection is established between your Salesforce organization and your Reltio tenant.

To establish a connection between your Salesforce organization and your Reltio tenant:
  1. Open the App Launcher and select Reltio Connected Customer Data for the Reltio Integration for Salesforce.
  2. Navigate to the Reltio Control Panel.

The Reltio credentials page appears. If you need new client credentials, see topic Add new client.

    • Note:
      • Reltio tenant ID and environment - These are the ID and URL prefix of your Tenant URL. For example, if your tenant URL is https://tst-01.reltio.com/ui/fa7errrotBeNhNO this would mean that your tenant ID is fa7errrotBeNhNO and environment is tst-01.
      • Client ID - ID of the client used for the synchronization
      • Client Secret - Secret of the client used for the synchronization
    • For versions prior to version 1.10029, basic authentication (with username and password) was the default:

      Note:
      • Reltio tenant ID and environment - These are the ID and URL prefix of your Tenant URL. For example, if your tenant URL is https://tst-01.reltio.com/ui/fa7errrotBeNhNO this would mean that your tenant ID fa7errrotBeNhNO and environment is tst-01.
      • Reltio username - The username which will be used for synchronization. Note that this might be a dedicated API username and not the one you usually use for login.
      • Reltio password - The password for the API username.
  3. Enter your Salesforce service user credentials.
  4. Click Verify to check whether the credentials are correct and click Next. If you get an error about a missing or incorrect configuration in Remote Site Setting, then refer the section on Remote Site Settings to maintain the correct configuration. The Salesforce Credentials page appears as follows:

    Note:
    • Username - It is the username of the user (usually a dedicated admin user) performing the synchronization operations.
    • Password - It is the password of the user performing the sync operations.
    • Token - Security token of the user performing the sync operations. Required for Salesforce API access.
    • Login URL - The login URL of the Salesforce instance.
    • Create default sync mappings - If the Create default sync mappings and Save My Credentials options are checked, default mappings will be created when creating the Reltio Integration for Salesforce profile.
    • Salesforce Service User - This user must have API enabled, and must Modify All Data permissions.
  5. Click the individual default mapping to view the out of the box mapping of Salesforce and Reltio objects. The mappings would depend on the accelerator you have configured in your Reltio tenant as well as on the Salesforce application. More information about mappings is available in the Mappings link section.
  6. Click Sync Config button to synchronize all the settings with Reltio.

  7. Click Finish to complete the setup. The values can be edited using the Reltio Control Panel tab available in the Reltio Integration for Salesforce App.
