Bulk match overview
Learn about the bulk match feature in the Hub.
Duplicate records are common in organizations managing data across multiple systems. Often, the same entity appears in multiple records, with inconsistencies between them. In the Hub, when you open a profile, the Potential Matches tab lets you select and view a list of potential matches for the selected record. From there, you can either merge the records or mark them as not a match. For more information, see topic Review potential matches overview.
This, however, is a tedious process since you match records for an individual entity and its associated potential matches one by one. You have to navigate to each profile, view its potential matches, and then merge them. This takes time, especially if you are dealing with a large amount of data.
Wouldn't it be more efficient if you can view a list of existing entities and merge records which you think are the same, with just a click of a button?
That's exactly what the Bulk match feature offers. For a selected entity type, you can merge or mark records as "Not a Match" in bulk, saving you time and effort.
