Tenant cloning, backups, and snapshots
Learn about tenant cloning, backups, and snapshots for restoring data on your tenant.
The tenant cloning service makes an exact copy of a tenant. A standard subscription includes one clone per month; you can purchase additional cloning services if needed.
As for backups, Reltio automatically performs daily backups of your production tenant data at a scheduled time, storing them for seven days. This service is included in your Reltio subscription at no additional cost, allowing you to restore your tenant to a previous state if needed. For example, if a data load doesn't produce the expected outcome, you can restore your tenant data from any backup taken in the previous seven days.
In contrast, a snapshot is an on-demand backup that you request via a Support ticket. The tenant snapshots service saves a copy of your tenant data to file storage. A standard subscription includes one a tenant snapshot once a month; you can purchase additional snapshots if needed. After a snapshot is taken, you may request a one-time restore of it at any time within the next 30 days at no charge.

This table shows the entitlements for these services (your Reltio sales representative or partner has latest prices). Beyond these default entitlements, you will be invoiced for any additional operations (overages) requested per the pricing below.

Tenant cloning and backup operation
- The date and time a clone or backup can start is any hour Sunday 9:00pm EST - Thursday 9:00am EST.
- Clones or backups that need to be initiated on the weekend require 5 days notice.
- The amount of time required to clone or backup a tenant is dictated by the data size. Tenants with 150,000,000+ entities will take a minimum of 3 days.
