What are Tenants?

A tenant is an instance of Reltio Data Cloud. It holds the data model and instances of the data you unify and manage for your organization. You can configure a tenant's metadata to determine its behavior and how it displays in data in the user interface (UI).

A Reltio Data Cloud license base package provides three tenants: Development, Test, and Production. Your organization can purchase additional tenants to suit its needs.

Why would I use Tenants?

You unify and manage your organization data your DEV, TEST, and PROD tenants, which come with:
Velocity pack
A preconfigured that most closely supports the business objectives.
Queues
An allocated and linked AWS SQS queue to receive events from the tenant. This conveniently enables message-queue style of integrations with other systems in your enterprise.
Reference Data Management (RDM)
A logically linked RDM tenant preconfigured with reference data applicable to the preconfigured velocity pack.
File space
An AWS S3 bucket to store data files and perform file manipulations. The bucket serves as a convenient folder in the Reltio Data Cloud where applications can retrieve and place files for data loading and extraction. Sometimes, you may want to place extracts from on-premises systems into this folder for easy access by integration tools.
Data as a Service (DaaS)
If your Reltio Data Cloud license includes the use of Reltio DaaS integration to a Reltio Data Tenant, your DEV, TEST, AND PROD tenants are pre-integrated using Reltio DTSS (Data Tenant Subscription Service).

If your Reltio Data Cloud license includes the use of Reltio DaaS integration to an enrichment dataset for which you have an account, your DEV, TEST, AND PROD tenants are pre-integrated to the appropriate Reltio data enrichment integration.

When would I use Tenants?

Use your Reltio tenants typically in this sequence:
Development (DEV)
Develop and modify new configurations. This is the place to perform your configuration research and development, try out new ideas, and experiment and brainstorm with business users. This tenant is provisioned with a small set of sample data designed to illustrate the use of the out-of-the-box application.

A maximum of 200,000 entities is allowed in this tenant.

Testing (TEST)
Apply selected elements of the configuration you have created in your Development tenant, and then try them out with a volume of data and various add-ons (for example, integrations) that mimic your production tenant. This tenant is typically integrated with the test environments of your other systems.

The maximum number of entities allowed in this tenant is the same as your production tenant.

Production (PROD)
Actively manage your live production data on this tenant. This tenant provisions the data to downstream analytics and operational systems. It is typically integrated with your organization's other production systems.

The number of entities allowed in this tenant is specified in your organization's license.

Where do I find Tenants?

Reltio emails an Asset Sheet to the person listed as the Technical Contact on the Reltio Data Cloud Order Form. That Technical Contact is set up as the organization's Reltio System Administrator, with access to all tenants and assets listed in the Asset Sheet.

The Asset Sheet lists the MDM Tenant UI URLs for the DEV, TEST, and PROD tenants. Any additional components that your organization licensed and enabled are also listed in this sheet.
