Migrate Reltio Integration for Salesforce to client credentials authentication

Learn how to migrate the Reltio Integration for Salesforce (Legacy) to use authentication based on client credentials.

As part of our commitment to security, we recommend that all customers implement Single Sign-On (SSO), prepare for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and migrate service users to client credentials for enhanced protection. For more information, see topic Enhance your security with Single Sign-On (SSO) and prepare for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). As such, if you're using the Reltio Integration for Salesforce then you should upgrade the managed package in your Salesforce instance to switch to client credentials based authentication.

We recommend that you:
  • Perform this migration in the lower environment first and then upgrade the higher environments.

  • Upgrade production tenants during periods of low usage.

To migrate to client credentials authentication:
  1. Upgrade the Reltio Integration for Salesforce managed package.
The managed package is available here. Ensure the new version is Summer 2024 (1.10029) or greater.
    1. Select Upgrade.
    2. If it takes a long time, select Done.
  2. Under Setup, check the installed version is 1.10029 or greater.
  3. Open the managed package and navigate to Reltio Control Panel > Reltio Credentials.
  4. Enter the Client ID and Client Secret
If you need new client credentials, see topic Add new client.
  5. Select Verify to ensure the authentication setup is complete.
  6. Test the data synchronization as well as the Search before create feature, if in use.
