Setting Up Localization

You can set up Internationalization and Localization with the help of Reltio Support.

Enable localization

To enable localization for your Reltio Connected Cloud environment, you should contact Reltio Support with a Localization Request and provide the following information:

When your Localization Request is processed, you are good to go with your localized environment (see Setup Web Browser and Access Localized Environment).

Tip: If you have any issues or comments on the out-of-the-box Core localization, contact Reltio Support. In your support ticket, provide the following information:
  • Reltio Connected Cloud environment and tenant
  • Language being used
  • Type of issue:
    • Not Localized - This is when you see the original U.S. English value where you expect a translated value. For example, Table instead of Tablero in a Spanish environment.
    • Incorrect Translation - This is when you see a value which you consider to be incorrectly translated. For example, Стол instead of Таблица in a Russian environment.
    • Layout - This is when you experience layout issues in your localized environment. For example, when the label does not look good for user experience in a Greek environment.

Customize Localization

If you want to extend the out-of-the-box scope of localization, you should contact Reltio Support with a Localization Request and provide the following information:

  • Reltio Connected Cloud environment and tenant(s)
  • Language(s) to be extended
  • Localization scope
    • Customizable scope (for more information refer to the Internationalization and Localization home page)
      • User interface in the Desktop UI.
      • Metadata
        • L3/L4/... layers of Reltio Model: labels, abbreviations, captions, descriptions, label patterns, direction labels.
        • Customer-defined lookups.
    • New scope:
      • Anything else you need localized in your custom Reltio Connected Cloud environment.
Note: The POST {TenantURL}/resources/i18n internationalization API supports localization of label patterns, direction labels, error messages, and customer-defined lookups. The labels, abbreviations, captions, and descriptions can be localized by modifying the UI configuration. Contact Reltio Customer Support to update the UI configuration.

Setup Web Browser

Your web browser should be configured for the desired localization:
  • Google Chrome: Settings > Language > Select Language > Display Google Chrome in this Language
  • Internet Explorer: Tools > Internet Options > General > Language > Language Preferences > Add Language
  • Firefox: Options > Contents > Language > Choose preferred language and move it up

    Note:

The order of languages in web browser should be as follows:

    1. Desired language, For example: es-ES, en-US
    2. Any other language

Access Localized Environment

Before you start, make sure you set up the web browser according to your language preferences. Login page should be localized (example for Spanish locale):

Your tenant should be localized as well:
