Learn about the automatic unmerge feature in Reltio.

When you configure match rules, it helps identify duplicate profiles, so you can then merge or consolidate it into one golden record. In other words, records are automatically merged if they meet the match rule criteria.

Sometimes, you may need to unmerge these records due to:

• onboarding new source systems.
• adding or updating source attribute values, which sometimes results in records not meeting the match rule criteria.
• finding error in the match rule configuration, if any.

In such scenarios, you must ensure that you unmerge records that no longer meet these requirements. You can either manually unmerge these records, or enable the new automatic unmerge feature in your tenant.

The automatic unmerge feature automatically unmerges entity records that no longer match the criteria, so you don't have to manually do it. You must enable this feature in your tenant to be able to use it. For more information, see topic Enable automatic unmerge on the tenant configuration.
