Hierarchy types in Data Modeler

Delete a hierarchy type

Learn how to delete a hierarchy type.

In the Data Modeler, you can delete a hierarchy type so that it is no longer available for Materialized hierarchy.

Prerequisites
Before you continue, make sure the following prerequisites are met:
  • You have access to the Data Modeler application in Console.
  • You have created hierarchy types with associated entity types.
To delete a hierarchy type:
  1. In the Console, select Data Modeler.
  2. In the Data Modeler, select Hierarchy types from the left navigation pane. A list of hierarchy types is displayed.
  3. Hover over the Hierarchy type you want to edit and select the Delete icon.
  4. In the confirmation dialog, select Yes. A confirmation message appears indicating that the hierarchy type was successfully deleted.
Result

The hierarchy type is removed from the Hierarchy types list and is no longer available for Materialized hierarchy.
