Dynamic segmentation
Learn about the Dynamic segmentation feature for Reltio 360 Data Products in the Reltio Hub.
In simple terms, Segmentation means dividing a dataset into categories or groups based on shared characteristics, attributes, or behaviors. For example, if you have a large dataset of your consumers and you want to target only those consumers who spend a certain amount on electronics or cosmetics every month, you can create a specific segment consisting of such consumers based on interactions that capture their behavioral patterns.
The Dynamic Segmentation feature in Reltio 360 Data Products empowers you to easily look into your data through search, and then, bring it all together to create and utilize segments based on real-time entity and transactional data. You can analyze your data more effectively, tailor marketing strategies to target particular segments and ultimately enhance your end-user’s experience.
The Reltio 360 Data Products hub provides you with the Segmentation option on the left navigation drawer to easily and quickly visualize and create segments of the data on your tenant. You can then seamlessly send those segments to downstream systems for activation.
On selecting Segmentation from the left slide-out menu, the Segments page lists the existing segments. If there are no segments, you can create segments by using the Create Segment option from either the top bar or the button that appears as part of the welcome message. For more information, see topic Create a segment.
Prerequisite for segmentation
The Dynamic Segmentation feature in Reltio 360 Data Products enables you to search for profiles by using the profile attributes and other interaction details including the interaction type, interaction attributes, interaction members as search criteria.
Interaction attributes are available for segmentation by default. However, before you use entity attributes in filters to create a segment, you must mark these attributes for segmentation in your L3 configuration. For more information regarding entity attributes, see topic Enable attributes for segmentation.
