Configure Collaborative Profile Creation for an entity type

Learn how to configure the profile authoring view for an entity type.

You must enable the Collaborative Profile Creation feature in your tenant. For more information, see topic the Collaborative Profile Creation.
Once enabled, you can set up a multi-step wizard to create profiles for each entity type. You also have an option to switch off or disable the feature here.
To configure the Collaborative Profile Creation for an entity type:
  1. In the Console, select UI Modeler. The UI Modeler page opens on its Profile View default tab.
  2. In the left navigation pane, select the entity type for which you want to configure the Collaborative Profile Creation feature.
  3. Select the Authoring tab. The displayed page prompts you to enable this feature for the entity type.
  4. Select Enable Now to enable the feature. The Profile Details tab displays the default Attributes View facet .

    To disable the Collaborative Profile Creation feature, slide the switch to the left.

  5. Select the Attributes View facet to display the Properties tab on the right pane, where you configure the attribute's properties.
    1. In the Caption field, edit the caption of the facet.
    2. In the Max shown field, enter the maximum number of profiles or entities to display in the facet.
    3. In the Attributes to Display field, select Add and in the displayed dialog box, select from the drop-down list the attributes that you want displayed in the facet.
    4. In the Attributes to Hide field, select Add and in the displayed dialog box, select from the drop-down list the attributes that you want hidden in the facet.
  6. From the Libraries tab on the right pane, specify the facets or charts you want to add to the Basic Details tab:
    1. Select the desired facet type: Attributes, Single Attribute, orRelationship.
    2. Drag and drop the facet into the middle pane.
    3. Select the facet you dragged and dropped, and configure it's properties in the right pane.
  7. After configuring the Profile Details tab, on the top navigation bar select Add Step.
  8. In the displayed blank tab, define the next step:
    1. From the right pane, select the Page Properties tab.
    2. In the Step name field, enter the name fo the new step.
      Note: Click the Delete button here to delete the step.
    3. Select the Libraries tab.
    4. Select, drag and drop the facets you want displayed in that tab.
    5. Click the facet, and configure it's properties as required.
  9. After creating and configuring your tabs, drag and drop the tabs into the desired order.
  10. Select Publish to publish the page.
