API latency dashboard
Learn about the data in the API latency dashboard in the Performance Monitoring application.
The Performance Monitoring application enables you to monitor the APIs in your Reltio tenant. After specifying a date range and selecting the HTTP methods and APIs you want to monitor, you can determine if the API that created a peak on a specific date is regularly used or not.
By default, this dashboard displays the average latency value and the median API latency value of all API requests sent during the specified date range. You can also view the number of API requests that are in the 90th, 95th, and 99th percentiles by clicking the Gear icon and selecting the relevant check box. It also contains the HTTP method and API endpoint filter components.
Data definition
This dashboard provides the following metrics:
Data label | Data definition |
---|---|
API latency trend | A line graph that shows the average latency value and median API latency value of all API requests sent during the specified date range. You can also view the number of API requests that are in the 90th, 95th, and 99th percentiles by clicking the Gear icon and selecting the relevant check box. |
Data analysis scenarios
So, armed with these amazing metrics, what can you deduce about your data?
Find the slowest API
You can use the HTTP method and API filters to determine the exact API that created the peak. The latency value of this API will be the largest.
Determine how often the slowest API is used
You can use the percentiles to know if the API that created the peak is regularly used or not.
