Accelerate the Value of Data

Data Loader feature deprecation - Apr, Jun, and Oct 2024

Learn about the Data Loader features being deprecated from tenants on the different cloud platforms.

We're improving the Console Data Loader, for tenants deployed on Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). As part of that, we're deprecating some features.

What are we deprecating?

We're deprecating these Console Data Loader features:
  • Merging multiple records into a single entity during preprocessing. Data loader will no longer merge data by crosswalk before posting it to Reltio.

  • The Analysis tab in Job status page.

Why are we deprecating it?

We're continuing to make improvements to our Data Loader, moving some functionality to more suitable places in the Reltio Connected Data Platform. The Data Loader process of creating a single entity from multiple records heavily impacts data load performance. Instead we'll use the more efficient platform process to merge records by crosswalk. For more information, see topic Create One Entity from Multiple Records.

The data provided in the Analysis tab of the Job status page is available in the Real-Time Data Quality dashboard time-series charts, where you can more fully analyze the kind of data you loaded. For more information, see topic View data quality issues in real time.

When are we deprecating it?

We're deprecating these Console Data Loader features on these dates:
  • April 15, 2024: any new tenants provisioned on the AWS cloud

  • June 17, 2024: existing tenants previously provisioned on the AWS cloud

  • October 14, 2024: existing or new tenants provisioned on the Azure and GCP cloud

What does this mean to you?

After these dates, the deprecated features will no longer be available:
  • Instead of Data Loader creating a single entity from multiple records during preprocessing, the platform will use crosswalks to merge records.

  • Instead of the Analysis tab on the Data Loader, use the functionality in the Real-Time Data Quality Dashboard.

What action do you need to take?

No action is required from your side. Reltio will automatically implement this change on your tenant.

Still have questions?

If you're an existing customer using the Reltio Connected Data Platform, you'll receive an email about this deprecation. For any other questions, contact Reltio Support.
