Data Loader feature deprecation - Apr, Jun, and Oct 2024

Learn about the Data Loader features being deprecated from tenants on the different cloud platforms.

We're improving the Console Data Loader, for tenants deployed on Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). As part of that, we're deprecating some features.

What are we deprecating?

We're deprecating these Console Data Loader features:
  • The Analysis tab in Job status page.

Note: On April 19, 2024, we announced plans to deprecate the Data Loader's ability to merge multiple records into a single entity during preprocessing. We've decided to make that functionality optional. It's enabled by default, but you can disable it when you define a Data Loader job.

Why are we deprecating it?

The data provided in the Analysis tab of the Job status page is available in the Real-Time Data Quality dashboard time-series charts, where you can more fully analyze the kind of data you loaded. For more information, see topic View data quality issues in real time.

On April 19, 2024, we announced the deprecation of the Data Loader functionality that merges multiple records into one entity during preprocessing. Your feedback convinced us that we should keep it in! Instead of deprecating it, we're making this Data Loader functionality optional, from June 10, 2024. For more information, see topic Create one entity from multiple records.

When are we deprecating it?

We're deprecating these Console Data Loader features on these dates:
  • April 15, 2024: any new tenants provisioned on the AWS cloud

  • June 17, 2024: existing tenants previously provisioned on the AWS cloud

  • October 14, 2024: existing or new tenants provisioned on the Azure and GCP cloud

What does this mean to you?

After these dates, the deprecated features will no longer be available:
  • Instead of the Analysis tab on the Data Loader, use the functionality in the Real-Time Data Quality Dashboard.

  • Instead of deprecating the Data Loader's ability to merge multiple records into a single entity during preprocessing, as announced April 19, 2024, we've instead made, it optional. If you relied on this functionality, you can continue to do so. To avoid disruption, we've enabled it by default; you can disable it when you define a Data Loader job.

What action do you need to take?

No action is required from your side. Reltio automatically implements this change on your tenant.
