Unify and manage your data

Reltio Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server at a glance

Learn about the Reltio MCP Server, a secure API gateway that enables AI agents to access real-time, governed master data using open-standard protocols.

What is MCP?

MCP is an open, standardized protocol designed to connect AI models — such as large language models (LLMs) and AI assistants — to external tools, data sources, and services in a unified, flexible, and secure way. For more information, see Model Context Protocol.

What is The Reltio MCP Server?

The Reltio MCP Server is a secure API gateway that allows AI agents, LLMs, and orchestration tools to interact with trusted, unified data in real time. It follows the open-standard Model Context Protocol, designed to enable seamless, governed communication between AI systems and enterprise data platforms.

Who is it for?

This content is curated for these Reltio user roles defined in About Reltio user roles:

Solution Architectdefines scalable, governed AI integrations with Reltio Data Cloud.

Developer enables LLMs, autonomous agents, or orchestration frameworks to interact with Reltio data using open protocols.

Why would I use it?

Use the Reltio MCP Server to build AI agents that easily access trusted, unified data without building or maintaining custom integration layers. It simplifies access to governed, real-time data, enabling:
  • Accurate AI driven outcomes
  • Better insights and faster time-to-value
  • Reduced manual overhead in integration and stewardship

The Reltio MCP Server will enable AI agents to perform data-related tasks autonomously — such as resolving matches, enriching profiles, or validating records. These capabilities help scale operations efficiently and reduce the burden on human data stewards.

When and where would I use it?

Use the Reltio MCP Server when building or integrating AI agents that require contextual, real-time data. Common use cases include:
  • Virtual assistants and chatbots
  • Process automation agents
  • Intelligent apps that rely on live customer or supplier data

The Reltio  MCP  Server is offered in two editions, each with its own availability timeline.

Table 1. MCP Server editions and availability
EditionDescriptionAvailability
Developer EditionOpen‑source and self‑hosted. Run it in your own infrastructure using containers.8 May 2025
Enterprise EditionFully managed by Reltio—no hosting or infrastructure management required. New capabilities will be introduced continuously.June 2025

We recommend you start with the Developer Edition to get up and running immediately, create some proof of concepts and get familiarized with MCP. Then, for full support, scalability, and more Reltio capabilities, you should get the Enterprise Edition.

Where can I find the MCP Server repository and quick‑start resources?

You can dive straight into the Developer  Edition source code, sample clients, and deployment scripts in our Bitbucket repository: reltio-mcp-server-developer-edition. Follow the instructions in Readme file.

Use the repository to spin up a proof of concept in minutes, contribute enhancements, or review example integrations before moving to the Enterprise Edition.

How does it support my business goals?

The MCP Server accelerates AI adoption by streamlining secure data access. It reduces operational costs by enabling AI agents to automate data operations, such as match resolution or enrichment. By grounding AI in trusted, up-to-date data, it:
  • Improves decision accuracy and consistency
  • Ensures compliance through role-based access control (RBAC) and audit logging
  • Frees up teams from manual integration and maintenance tasks
