Schema evolution
Schema evolution in Reltio Data Sharing refers to additive changes to the structure of your data, such as adding new attributes, entity types, relationship types, or interaction types. When you make an additive change to the structure of your data in Reltio, Reltio automatically synchronizes it to the data share and creates new columns or tables as needed.
Reltio Data Sharing supports only the following new additions:
- Attributes
- Entity types
- Relationship types
- Interaction types
Reltio Data Sharing does not support automatic schema evolution in the case of deleting an attribute or changing the data type of an existing attribute. When you make one of these changes in Reltio, Reltio does not apply it to the data share, and the existing tables keep the deleted attributes while the change in data type might affect the data share and will require recreation of the data share.
