Troubleshoot Search Before Create in Veeva Vault CRM

Common issues and resolutions

| Search failed or 401 error | Your Vault session may have expired. Refresh the page, and try again. |
| No records found | Confirm that you selected the correct account type and entered the required search fields.
If the search still returns no results, check that the required input attributes were provided for the selected search type. Customer Tenant searches require the attributes configured in the Reltio match rules. Data Tenant searches require NPI or DEA, depending on the tenant. |
| Import failed | Verify that the RIH recipe is running. If the issue persists, submit a support request. |
| Search Before Create is not visible in the navigation bar | Check the Application Profile configuration and confirm that the top-level tab is configured correctly. |
| Search button is disabled | Enter at least one search field to enable the Search button. |
| Invalid API token | If the configured API token is invalid, the API returns HTTP 401 Unauthorized. In this case, review the token under API Platform > Clients. If the token is incorrect or expired, generate a new API key for the API collection and update the value in the configuration. |
