Strengthen data unification

Check out new features to help make unifying your data in Reltio even stronger.

You want to be bigger, better, stronger. We think you should be! That's why we're releasing a slew of features to help you rock your data unification journey! We've made it possible to handle more data, moved stuff around to make you more efficient, and provided a strong defense against bad data. Mission accomplished.

Message Streaming - Transmit OV only

Facing an increasing message payload of unwanted data without the means or desire to build custom logic in your own applications to manage events that Reltio transmits to external queues? Looking for an easier way to manage the data you transmit from Reltio to external message streaming queues instead? Look no further than Console > Tenant Management > External queues. Now when you Add queue, select theTransmit OV only checkbox to stream only events that cause Operational Values (OVs) to change from Reltio. For more information, see topic Add an external queue configuration.

New UI - Parity and complete migration

As announced during the Reltio Connected Data Platform 2022.2 Release, we're retiring our Classic user interface (UI) in this release (for details on this deprecation notice, see topic Classic UI - Feb 2023.)

We've completely redesigned and rebuilt our UI to provide an intuitive and modern experience and optimum productivity:
  • Improved navigation with fewer clicks

  • Modern tech stack and design concepts for improved performance

  • Better usage of screen real estate

  • Feature enhancements for better usability

Feast your eyes on these new UI features!
Hub Profile page and related perspectives
The Profile page is based on enhanced UI Modeler, with a four-column layout (increased from the previous three-column layout) to better present pertinent profile information. For example, we've moved validation errors and warnings to the top of the page, so you can quickly find and fix problems. A new navigation paradigm will have you skipping effortlessly through the different perspectives, that are also sporting new designs:
  • Activity log

  • Graph perspective

  • Potential match perspective

  • Relationships perspective

  • Sources and survivorship perspective

To take a closer look at these Profile UI features, see topic Profile Perspective Details.

Dashboards
Now it's even easier to visualize key data metrics in these Hub dashboards:
  • Profile statistics: We've improved the visualization, customization, and performance of the charts and facets that let you view statistics data management activities, business insights, and profile quality.

  • Real-Time Data Quality: We've made it easier to drill down from and entity to its attributes to give you a complete picture of your data consistency and accuracy in real-time.

To take a closer look at these Dashboard UI enhancements, see topic Profile Statistic Dashboard.

Search
Back by popular demand! In Advanced search, you can once again profile file data when you create a query. Pick your preferred presentation of search results (table or list views) and dive into a map view directly from search results.

To take a closer look at these Search UI enhancements, see topic Exploring the Advanced Search.

Security
We've tightened up security, moving access/refresh tokens from the UI to a more secure location in HTTPS cookies.
UI Modeler
Arrange your UI to suit your preferences. Now you have four columns to lay out your facets, which you can resize and rearrange.

To take a closer look at the UI Modeler updates, see topic UI Modeler overview.

Real-Time Data Quality - Error on save via DVF

Data Validation Functions (DVFs) now offer an additional defense from the corrupting influences of bad data! DVFs now display error as well as warning messages in the Hub > Profile page for new or updated data before allowing it in through an API or theConsole Data Loader. Go ahead and save data if a Warning message isn't a showstopper. DVFs don't let data flagged with an error message in to Reltio until you resolve the error. Think bad data may have slipped through earlier? Revalidate it against yourDVFs and check the errors listed on the Profile page. For more information, see topic Data validation function.

Real-Time Data Quality - Time series

Our Early Access (EA) program to improve the quality of your data as it changes over time makes it to the big time in this release. Analyze interactive DQ time series dashboard charts for data quality trends over time, timely and trusted data with continuous data validation, and real-time visibility into operational metrics:
  • Fill rate over time: Analyze the tenant-level aggregate information about the completeness of your data. For more information, see topic Fill rate over time.

  • Profiles with invalid data over time: Analyze active Data Validation Functions (DVFs) information. For more information, see topic Profiles with invalid data over time.

  • Uniqueness analysis over time: Analyze unique and common values of attributes. For more information, see topic Uniqueness analysis over time.

Survivorship strategy – Filters, fallbacks, and rulesets

Wanted to focus on configuring complex survivorship strategies rather than learning the complexities of JSONs and APIs? Now you can easily build comprehensive survivorship strategies involving fallback and filters in Console > Data Modeler > Entity details > Survivorship. Workflow - Inbox UX enhancements

Become a multi-tasking pro with these new Inbox features:
Modify Inbox tasks in bulk
There are times when processing tasks single-file makes sense, and times when this drip-feed approach makes no sense. When you need to change the due date or add comments to large numbers of Inbox tasks, it just makes sense to do that in bulk. And now you can from Hub > Inbox.Select a group of tasks—or even all tasks—and simultaneously adjust the due date or add the same comment.

Find out more about managing Inbox tasks in bulk in topics Additional Entries and Details, Filter tasks, and Overview of Workflow Task Variables.

Filter Inbox tasks
Finding particular types of tasks among hundreds of generated tasks was like searching for a needle in a haystack. Now you can find tasks with particular criteria fast! Select multiple task attributes and their values to display only relevant tasks in your Inbox. To see additional filter options (previously called Filter Types), first add them as Tasks variables in your workflow definition. Find our more about these new filtering options in topics Filter tasks and Overview of Workflow Task Variables.

Self service - Delete tenant data

Need to clean up your tenant's act? If you've waited to have data removed from your tenant during its initial implementation or want fresh data when subsequently testing configurations, you'll be pleased to know that you can take matters into your own hands now. No need to raise a Support ticket anymore, just head over to Console > Tenant Management > Jobs, and create your own Tenant Delete job. Find out how in topic Run a Delete tenant data job.

Self service - API authentication client credentials

Cut out the middle man and let the Reltio API authenticate and connect directly with third-party systems/scripts. Instead of a user account to supply credentials (username and password) to authenticate through the Reltio API, use Client Credentials (client ID and client secret) to comply with OAuth 2.0 for machine-to-machine communications. You don't even have to raise a Support ticket! Define your Client ID or API Key and the level of access it should have, and create your own client credentials in Console > Security > Client Credentials. You can also list, update, and delete existing client credentials. To see how to use your client credentials/applications securely with Reltio, see topics Application Client Management APIs, Client Credentials and Application Clients.

Explore - Get ready to transform your data

Check out these new features and enhancements in this weekly release to help you plan your master data management voyage.

Hub
  • In the Profile view, in the errors and warnings section, you couldn't identify the attribute and sub-attribute with the blank or wrong value that resulted in an error or warning. We now display the name of the attribute and sub-attribute in the error or warning to make it easier for you to identify. For more information, see topic Profile Attribute Facets.
  • In the new UI, after searching for a profile in the Search field in the Hub, you couldn't use the down arrow key to select the profile, as was possible in the classic UI. We now implemented the arrow navigation for the new UI, and you can search and select profiles from the Search field using the down arrow key. For more information, see topic Search.
  • In the Profile view, you couldn't view the Select Relationship type option in the Relationship facet. We enhanced the logic to view configuration in this facet, and you can now view the Select Relationship type field in the Relationship facet.

Model - Define your data model

Check out these new features and enhancements in this weekly release to help you define model, match, merge, and cleanse your data.

Cleanse
Previously, when you recleansed an entity using the CASS-enabled Address Cleanser, the service automatically ignored unverified addresses. We enhanced the Address Cleanser with the ignoreUnverifiedResults property to give users more control over how the service treats unverified addresses when cleansing or recleansing. For more information, see topic Address Cleansing Properties.
Potential Matches
In the Potential Matches view, you added attributes and new columns in the Match Review table, but couldn’t see the changes when you returned after navigating to another view. We ensured that the preferences were saved before it was loaded again, and now you can see the modified view after navigating back to the Potential Matches view. For more information, see topic Merge potential matches.

Integrate - Connect your data

Check out these new features and enhancements in this weekly release to help you import, enrich, and export your data.

Connectors
We introduced the Data Pipeline Hub (DPH) service for the Snowflake and Google BigQuery (GBQ) connectors. Use this service to analyze your data quickly and efficiently by cleansing, deduplicating, and enriching it before it hits your cloud data warehouses. For more information, see topics Reltio Data Pipeline for Snowflake and Reltio Data Pipeline for GBQ.
