Members perspective

Learn about the Members perspective of an grouping type entity.

When Segmented Grouping is enabled for your tenant, Reltio automatically creates and maintains logical groups of related entities based on match rules. For more information about segmented grouping, see topic Segmented grouping via match rules . In the Data Modeler, you define and configure grouping types that determine how entities are assigned to groups. Based on this configuration, Reltio forms group entities and populates them with associated member records.

In the Profile view, a Members screen appears for each group entity. It displays all member entities that meet the grouping criteria, allowing you to explore and validate group membership directly in the UI.

Note: When you search and select a group entity, the Profile tab displays key group details, including the Group consolidation ID. This unique ID represents the entire group and can be used to search for its member entities. For example, on the Search screen, entering the group ID returns all entities associated with that group.

The Members table provides a structured, interactive view of all entities associated with a specific group. Grouping is based on match rules that segment large or ambiguous records into logical collections — such as merchant clusters, household units, or account hierarchies. Rather than merging all related records into a single, oversized entity, Reltio generates a lightweight group entity that maintains references to its members without altering their individual identities. This is particularly useful in high-scale scenarios where merged entities would become unmanageable.

Here's a sample Members screen:

For example, if MerchantGroup is defined as a grouping type, and a particular entity of that type is opened in the UI, the Members screen shows all merchant records linked to that group.

Columns and settings

The Settings icon above the Members table to help you adjust how group members are displayed. These configuration filters help you refine the view without changing your search query.

The Settings icon has these 2 options:

  • Search by OV only - Select this option to limit results to attribute values selected by survivorship rules, instead of searching across all values.
  • Show Inactive entities - Select this option to Include both active and inactive member entities in the table.

The Show/Hide columns option enables you to customize the table view by selecting which columns to display or hide. A list of attributes are displayed when you select this option. You can select or clear options form this list.
