Mapping File Columns to Attributes

  1. Select a .csv file.
  2. Click CONTINUE.
    Refer to the Mapping Tutorial to learn how to map file columns to Reltio attributes.
  3. Select a mapping from the list.
    Note: If you are creating the job definition for the first time, existing mappings are not displayed.
  4. In the Select mapping dialog, click CREATE NEW MAPPING.
    The Create new mapping dialog box is displayed.
  5. Enter a name for the mapping.
  6. Click CONTINUE.
    Note: On the right panel, the selected entity is displayed. Click the search icon and search for an attribute.
  7. Select/deselect match methods.
  8. Next to the relevant column, click Set column as record identifier.
    Note: On the mapping page, the first column is selected as the Record Identifier, by default.
  9. On the right panel, click on a column header. Map and select the attributes.
    Note: This panel displays the match rules configured for the specified entity type in your L3 configuration. The match rules list also includes relevance-based match rules. In addition, if Match IQ is configured in your tenant, the Match IQ recommended attributes appear in the right panel.
    Note: Refer to the information mentioned below when the match rules or Match IQ attributes are available for mapping:
    • The Match IQ attributes appear only if a model exists for the entity type you want to match and the model is published with the External scope.

    • The match rules that appear on the right panel are the ones for which the scope is set to EXTERNAL, ALL, or NONE in the L3 configuration. The match rules for which the scope is set to INTERNAL, do not show on the right panel.
    The Create new external match job page shows that the Street column is mapped to the Address Line1.
    Note: You can also map multiple nested attributes. For more information about nested attributes, see Mapping Multiple Nested Attributes.
  10. On the Create new external match job page, select a match rule.
  11. On the left panel, choose the Select all match methods option.
    The existing match methods are highlighted.
    Note: You must select one match rule. Do the mapping for at least one attribute to perform matching.
  12. Next to the Select attributes search field, use the appropriate filter option.
    Note: Based on the selected filter criteria, appropriate match methods are displayed for selection.
  13. Click the highlighted filter icon.
  14. In the Create new external match job page, filter the columns to be displayed.

    The column filters are displayed.

  15. Select the filter.
  16. Select Show mapped columns only. The mapped columns are displayed.

  17. Define mapping.
  18. Click SAVE.
  19. Click CONTINUE.
    The Define Output page is displayed which explains Entity type, Total No of records , File Uploaded, and the Mapping Summary.

  20. Click SELECT ATTRIBUTES.
    Additional attributes are included in the exported file. The file contains the match results.

  21. Click SAVE .
  22. Click MATCH to initiate matching.
    Note: By default, the records from the input files are cleansed before matching with the entities in the tenant.
  23. Go to the Job Status page.
    Under the IN PROGRESS tab the job is displayed. When the job is completed it is displayed under the COMPLETED tab.
  24. Sort and filter jobs as required.
