Publishing the reviewed Model

A user with the necessary permissions can publish the model.

For more information, see Roles and Permissions for Match IQ Application.

You can choose to publish the model for internal and external matching. If you select:
  • External - the model is used to match data from an external file with the data in the tenant.
  • Internal - the model is used to match the data within your tenant along with the match rules configured for the tenant.

You can define a custom action and a corresponding relevance score range. This allows you to execute custom actions for relevance scores that are received for relevance-based rules. If a match pair falls within the defined range, then the custom action is executed. The following points are relevant for custom actions:

  • The relevance score range you specify for one action cannot overlap with the relevance score of another custom action.
  • It is recommended not to have intervals when defining relevance score ranges for multiple actions. For example, if you have a range 0.5 to 1 for one action, then keep the upper limit as 0.5 for the lower range of the next action.
  • You can define custom actions as long as the relevance score range is not zero.

For more information on custom match actions, see Understanding Custom Rules.

You can publish a model for both internal and external matching.
  1. Under the Completed swim lane to publish the model, click the Manage Publish button.

The pop up appears. You can publish the model. The image shows multiple custom actions defined.

  2. Click Save.

The model is published and a notification appears indicating that the Rebuild Match Tables job is triggered. The notification also has a link that redirects you to the Tenant Management application in Console.

For more information, see Creating a Rebuild Match Tables Job.

Note: If an existing Rebuild Match Tables job is running, then you can publish the model only after the job is completed.
  3. Deselect the Internal or External option.

    This will unpublish the model.

  4. Click Save.

The Rebuild Match Tables job is triggered after you unpublish.

Note: The complete match results are available only when the Rebuild Match Tables job is completed. When you view potential matches in Hub, you can view match pairs recommended by Match IQ. For more information, Potential Matches Perspective (classic).

The internal and external published models appear with the words Published Internal or Published External as follows:

You can publish only one model per entity type per scope (internal or external). For example, you create a model Model A for the HCP entity type with the internal scope and publish it. If you create another model, Model B with the internal scope and try to publish, you are prompted that the previous model Model A will be overwritten. If you choose to overwrite, then the model Model B is published and Model A reverts to the approved state.

For example, if you have published a model for one scope, internal and then you publish the same model for external also, the model will be published for the external scope as well. However, if a model with the external scope already exists, you are prompted to overwrite it.
Note: You can delete a model flow only if it is in an error state.
