Master Data
To understand Master Data management techniques, you must explore what Master Data constitutes.
Master data refers to the profiles (customers, prospects, citizens, suppliers, sites, hierarchies, locations, products, assets) and the consistent and uniform set of identifiers and attributes that describe them, usually placed within a system that supports efficient curation of the data. The system supports the continuous onboarding and distribution of the cleansed data to/from source and target systems within an application landscape.
At Reltio, we call these Reltio Connected Data Platform Profiles and our mission is to enable our customers to manage the data that matters the most to them.
Master Data Management (MDM) is a technology-enabled discipline in which business and IT work together to ensure the uniformity, accuracy, stewardship, consistency and accountability of the enterprise’s official shared master data assets.
MDM as a discipline and technology has been used by enterprises in the quest for a single, reliable, and high quality 360° view of their customers, accounts and product profiles.
