Upgrade a FERN Match Model

Learn how to replace an outdated FERN model and activate the latest version.

You need the ROLE_ADMIN_TENANT Access permissions or a custom role with MDM:config.businessModel UPDATE permission.

This procedure is performed in the Console's Match tab, within the AI-powered table of pretrained FERN models.

Go to Console ► Data Modeler ► Entity types and open the target entity type.
Select the Match tab.
Confirm the link "A new version (Version X.Y.Z) is available" and the UPGRADE button are displayed.
Select the UPGRADE button.
In the Confirm model settings & upgrade screen, choose a mode, review settings, then select SAVE & UPGRADE.

The Version column now shows the newer build, and the mode selector is available.
