Install Reltio IDE in VS Code

Learn how to install the Reltio IDE extension in VS Code from a .vsix file, using either the Extensions view or the Command Palette.

Prerequisites

Before you install Reltio IDE, make sure you have the following requirements:

To install Reltio IDE in VS Code using the Extensions view
  1. Open VS Code and open a folder. Reltio IDE uses the folder as your local workspace for downloading and managing business configurations.
  2. Select the Extensions icon in the activity bar to open the Extensions view.
  3. Select the ... (More Actions) menu at the top of the Extensions view, then select Install from VSIX....
  4. Browse to the location where you downloaded the .vsix file. Select the .vsix file and click Install.
  5. Open the Extensions view and confirm that Reltio IDE appears in the list of installed extensions.
To install Reltio IDE in VS Code using the Command Palette
  1. Open VS Code and open a folder. Reltio IDE uses the folder as your local workspace for downloading and managing business configurations.
  2. Press Cmd+Shift+P on macOS, or Ctrl+Shift+P on Windows and Linux to open the Command Palette.
  3. Type Install from VSIX, then select Extensions: Install from VSIX....

  4. Browse to the location where you downloaded the .vsix file. Select the .vsix file and select Install.
  5. Open the Extensions view and confirm that Reltio IDE appears in the list of installed extensions.

Result

Reltio IDE appears in your installed extensions, and the Reltio icon appears in the activity bar.

Once installed, connect Reltio IDE to either your Reltio tenant or a Git repository.
