Zero-copy interaction integration from Databricks overview

Learn how zero-copy interaction integration from Databricks displays interaction and transaction data in related Reltio Intelligent 360 profiles without copying that data into Reltio.

Zero-copy interaction integration from Databricks queries interaction and transaction data stored in Databricks and displays matching results in the context of related profiles in Reltio Intelligent 360. The interaction data remains in Databricks.

The following roles configure or manage zero-copy interaction integration from Databricks:

Interaction and profile data

Databricks remains the source for interaction and transaction data, while Reltio remains the source for mastered profile data. When Reltio Intelligent 360 requests interactions for a profile, Reltio queries the mapped Databricks table or view and returns the rows associated with that profile.

Reltio links each Databricks row to a profile through the crosswalk identifier defined in the interaction mapping. Entity and demographic data must already be loaded into Reltio so that Reltio resolves identities and maintains mastered profiles.

Databricks connection and interaction mappings

Interaction integration uses the Databricks connection and interaction mappings configured for zero-copy integration. Configure and test the Databricks connection, then map each Databricks table or view that contains interaction data to a Reltio interaction type. For the API configuration sequence, see Configure zero-copy integration from Databricks using APIs.

After configuration, Reltio queries the mapped Databricks source and returns matching interaction data for the related profile.
