Edit client details

Learn how to edit existing client details.

You must be a customer administrator or be assigned the customer client management permissions to edit client details.
To edit client details:
  1. In the Console, select Client Credentials. You will see the Client Credentials page.
  2. Hover over the client record that you want to edit.
  3. Select the Edit option.
    Note: The Client ID field is disabled. You cannot modify it.
  4. In the Edit client page, edit the required fields. For more information about these fields, see topic Add new client.
  5. Review the Access Token Validity field.
    Note: Clients with a token validity greater than 3600 seconds will continue to work as expected. However, when editing a client, you can only:
    • Set a value ≤ 3600 seconds
    • Or retain a value ≤ the existing token validity
    Any attempt to increase the token validity beyond its current value will result in a validation error. This behavior applies to all tenants, regardless of the underlying authorization database.
  6. Select Save to save the updated details.
