Entity Created in Salesforce

The following is a use case of entity created in Salesforce.

When a user performs a search by using Search Before Create, three outcomes are possible:

  1. Record exists in Salesforce: User can click on hyperlink and go directly to the record, or optionally click Add to Territory (if territory management is supported) and go to the record.
  2. Record exists in Reltio CT (or DT) but not in Salesforce: User can import the record from Reltio CT or DT. Connector will then add the Salesforce Crosswalk to the Reltio record, or create a new record in the Reltio CT if the import was from the DT.
  3. Record does not exist in Reltio or Salesforce: User creates a new record in Salesforce. Connector will then create a new record in the Reltio CT and add the Salesforce Crosswalk.

When a new record is created in Salesforce (For example: by a data load), the connector will create a new record in the Reltio CT and add the Salesforce Crosswalk. If this triggers a merge in Reltio, the outcome of the merge will be synced back to Salesforce. The connector invokes the Salesforce merge service which supports OOTB Standard Salesforce Objects. It does not support the merges of custom objects, including child objects of Standard Salesforce objects.
