Reltio Connected Data Platform: 2022.2 Weekly Releases

This page lists enhancements and fixes applied as part of our Weekly Releases in Reltio Connected Data Platform: 2022.2.

Release notes for Weekly Release 2022.2.12.0 - September 14, 2022

What's New

Cleanse

The Phone cleanser previously provided cleansed addresses only in National format. We enhanced the Phone cleanser to provide cleansed addresses in INTERNATIONAL, E164, NATIONAL, and RFC3966 formats. For more information, see topic Phone cleanser.

Release notes for Weekly Release 2022.2.10.0 - August 31, 2022

What's New

Hub

In the Hub, you switched between the classic UI and new UI from the Profile settings dialog box. Now, just a click on the Switch to New UI button at the top right of a page in the Hub transports you to the new UI and enables you to try it out. You can still make the return journey using the Switch back to Classic UI in the Profile settings menu from the bottom left navigation pane. For more information, see topics Switch between classic and new UI and Switch between the classic and new navigation.

Match

It was sometimes difficult to tell whether a match score represented a good match. We added a relevance attribute to the sort parameter in the Get Transitive Matches API query. Now, for relevance-based match rules, the API response includes the label defined in the Action Threshold for a rule that matches the relevance attribute. For more information, see topics Relevance-Based Matching - Detailed Explanation and Get transitive matches.

Workflow

If you created custom workflows using the Workflow Software Development Kit (SDK), you could not provide a way for workflow users to see details about any task comments. You could use the Get Process Instance Comments endpoint of the Workflow API to obtain data about task comments on a case-by-case basis and share that with users requesting that information. We added a new service, ProcessesService, to the Workflow SDK, which you use to add or get comments for a workflow process instance. Now, custom workflow users can view data about task comments, such as who added the comment and when in the Profile perspective.

For more information, see topics Workflow API, Reltio Inbox Overview, and Get Process Instance Comments.

Release notes for Weekly Release 2022.2.9.0 - August 24, 2022

What's New

Event Streaming
  • We introduced the operation ID, a unique identifier value, in the header of all messages. This value ties together different events that are generated after an operation is performed and remains the same across all events generated from this operation. For more information, see topics Message streaming and CRUD events.
  • In delta event streaming, we have introduced additional attributes for relationship events:
    • relationship type
    • start object URI
    • end object URI
This allows you to tie the relationship to the corresponding start and end objects. For more information, see topic CRUD events.
  • In delta event streaming, we added the payload to the ENTITY_CREATED or RELATIONSHIP_CREATED events. You no longer need to make additional GET calls to fetch the details of the newly created entity or relationship. For more information, see topics Get entity, Get Relationship, and CRUD events.

Security

In the Reltio Log in page, you could attempt to reset your password using the verification code sent to your email address, whether your credentials were maintained in Reltio or in an external Identity Provider (IdP) server. We have changed the process of restoring passwords for credentials that are maintained in an external IdP server. Now, we will no longer send you a verification code in your email; you must reset your password using your IdP server. For more information, see topic Reset your password.

Fixes

Hub

In the Profile perspective in the classic UI, you could delete nested attributes with auto-generated values. However, you couldn't delete such attributes in the Profile perspective in the new UI. We changed the logic for processing nested attributes, so you can now delete nested attributes with auto generated values in the new UI also. For more information, see topics Exploring the New Profile Perspective, Auto Generating IDs Within an Entity, and Understanding the Reltio Attribute Type.

Reltio Analytics

When you analyzed nested simple attributes, Reltio Analytics returned incorrect Operational Value (OV) results. We updated our field processing, so you now receive the correct OV values. For more information, see topic Reltio Analytics.

Release notes for Weekly Release 2022.2.8.0 - August 17, 2022

What's New

Hub

You can specify values either by selecting them from Hub dropdown lists or by searching for a specific value to select. We have enhanced the Hub dropdown list from the previously limited set of values to list all available values. At the end of the Hub dropdown list, click the Load More option to display the next set of values in addition to those that are currently displayed.

Release notes for Weekly Release 2022.2.7.0 - August 10, 2022

What's New

Match

The Analyze Match Rules feature in the Console Data Modeler included all match rules defined in a tenant in its overall statistics. To enable you to specify the match rules you want to include in the analysis, we added two new attributes:
  • useSkippedRules: Include bypassed or skipped match rules. By default, skipped matched rules are included in the analysis.
  • scopes: Define the scope of the match rules to include in the analysis: ALL, NONE, INTERNAL, or EXTERNAL. By default, all of these scopes are evaluated.
For more information, see topics Match Group Elements - Description and Configuration and Match Rule Analyzer version 2 (Dynamic).

Security

We have enhanced the way we perform authentication operations for providing access tokens for third-party services when you work in our New views. There is no change to the way you request access request tokens. For more information, see topic Authentication.

Release notes for Weekly Release 2022.2.6.0 - August 3, 2022

What's New

Hub

We have enhanced the Hub new UI so you can now choose to display or hide canonical codes with lookup values that you defined in the Reltio Reference Data Management product. In the Import/export UI config files page in the Console UI Modeler application, set the new LookupCodeVisibility parameter in the desired UI configuration JSON file. For more information, see topics Managing View Preferences, Export and Import of UI Configuration Files, and Reference Data Management (RDM).

Match

The relevance score that helps you decide whether to merge records when you review potential matches was not available in a Matches API response. We have added the relevance field to responses to Matches API for matches that use relevance-based match rules. For more information, see topic Get matches.

Tenant Management

  • While adding or modifying configurations in Tenant Management's External Queue page, you were able to select the event type ANALYTICS_ATTRIBUTES_CHANGED. Event streaming never supported this event type, so we removed it from the Type filter dropdown. For more information, see topic Add an external queue configuration.
  • We added a new Reindex unresolved RDM lookups job to the Tenant Management application in the Console. This job reindexes entities for which a Search returns records for RDM transcode errors you previously resolved in the Reltio Reference Data Management product. After you run this new Tenant Management job, the Advanced Search page in the Hub lists the reindexed entities, and a search for entities with transcode errors returns the correct records. For more information, see topic Reindex unresolved RDM lookups

Fixes

Hub

If you turned off the Show Entity ID option in the Profile pages Properties tab in the Console UI Modeler, the Profile Perspective (new view) still displayed the Entity ID in the Hub Profile band. We fixed this to match the behavior in the classic view. Now if you turn off the Show EntityID option in UI Modeler, the Profile Perspecive (new view) doesn't display the entity ID. For more information, see topics Configuring the Profile Band and Exploring the New Profile Perspective.

Reltio Platform

In the Profile view, when you added a new primary address for a user account, Reltio did not save the address or display it in the Address section. The validation check for the primary address that had the Operational Value (OV) set to true was not completed. Instead the validation considered the entire address block’s OV value, which was set to false. We have fixed this issue, and now the new primary address for a user account is displayed in the Profile view. For more information, see topic Validation Service.

Release notes for Weekly Release 2022.2.5.0 - July 27, 2022

Fixes

Export

The Export Entities API previously exported the startDate and endDate Reltio system attributes only to JSON files. It now also exports these system attributes to the CSV files, so you can use them for additional audit information on the lifecycle of an entity in your tenant. For more information, see topic CSV output format for entity export.

Hub
  • In the Profile view, an entity's relationship may not have been displayed in the Hierarchy facet if the lookup attribute satisfied a condition specified in Data Security. This happened because lookups weren’t resolved for relations during the /_tree request. We fixed this issue, and the Hierarchy facet now displays the relations correctly based on conditions specified in Data Security. For more information, see topic Exploring the Hierarchy Management Facet.
  • In the Sources view, multiple entities with the same crosswalk ID were sometimes displayed rather than being automatically merged as expected. We have fixed an issue in our database code, so now every entity in the Sources perspective displays a unique crosswalk ID. To restore any missing crosswalks you had before this fix, run the CassandraCrosswalksConsistencyTask API. For more information, see topic Tasks API.
  • In the Hub classic view you could filter a profile's updated activity based on the entity type, source, and attribute values in the Activity log. We have enhanced the Hub new view to provide these filters in the Activity log, which you can access from the Dashboard and the Profile view. For more information, see topics, New navigation in the Reltio Hub, Filter details in the Activity log, and Activity Log.

Release notes for Weekly Release 2022.2.4.0 - July 20, 2022

Fixes

Data Cleansing

If you ran a full cleanse on a record that contained nested address attributes a second time, the cleanser returned additional, outdated records for the nested attributes. We have fixed the cleanser to remove existing values before cleansing the record again. For more information, see topic Address Cleanser.

Hub

In the UI Modeler, when you configured a custom facet, for example Person by source name, you specified an incomplete URI path for the Entity type filter. This resulted in an error being displayed when you clicked the facet in the Dashboard. We configured the correct URI path for the Entity type filter, and now the relevant details are displayed when you click the facet in the Dashboard. For more information, see topic Configure dashboard charts and maps.

Reltio Integration Hub

When you added start and end dates while creating a new RIH recipe in the RIH job or Relationship view, we did not display the dates in the recipe's Start date and End date fields. We fixed an issue where Reltio did not consider these date fields to be in a valid format. Now, when you enter these dates using either the 13-digit epoch timestamp or the date picker, Reltio correctly displays them in the recipe. For more information, see topic Relationships Perspective.

Release notes for Weekly Release 2022.2.3.0 - July 13, 2022

What's New

Hub

In the Profile perspective, you can now Clone a profile. Why spend time manually creating a profile when you have a similar profile in your system that you can copy details from? While configuring the feature in your tenant, you can specify details to be copied during cloning. For more information, see topics Clone entities and Profile cloning overview.

Release notes for Weekly Release 2022.2.2.0 - July 7, 2022

What's New

Match

We have enhanced the Transitive Matches API to include relevance scores in its response. You can now see the relevance score in the matchRuleSummaries field for matches that are using relevance-based match rules. For more information, see Get transitive matches.

Fixes

Hub

When you tried to view the sources details in the Profiles Sources perspective (new view), a blank screen was displayed. We have fixed this data-loading issue, so the Sources perspective now displays the specified source details. For more information, see topic Sources Perspective (new view).

Search

When you tried to perform a file-based search in the Advanced Search, a file upload error displayed. We changed the way we handle content type headers in a file-upload request. Now file-based searches work as expected. For more information, see topic Uploading a File for File-based Search.

Security

When one of your connected systems requested an access token from Reltio, you may have received an access error. This was due to a changed sequence of fields in the token response. We fixed the issue by organizing the fields in the expected order, so Reltio now returns the access token without error. For more information on Reltio access token, see topic Obtaining access tokens with client credentials grant type.

Tenant Management

We've added new values and events to our Reltio message streaming service, which you can specify when you add an external queue configuration in the Tenant Manager:

  • commitTime and objectVersion values enable you to identify the correct sequence of events in messages you consume. In the Payload Type section, select the mandatory commitTime value from the Events Payload Fields dropdown.
  • POTENTIAL_LINK_FOUND and AUTO_LINK_FOUND event types notify an external program to consider taking action on the event. You can now select these events, which were previously only available from the streaming APIs, from the Type filter. You can use match rules to publish these events to the queue, where your external program can receive the event, retrieve and examine profiles, and take appropriate action.

For more information, see topics Message streaming and Manage external queues.

Release notes for Weekly Release 2022.2.1.0 - June 29, 2022

What's New

Export

Previously you didn't see dates associated with crosswalks in the exported CSV. We've now added dates about the crosswalk: loaded or created, updated, and deleted. To view the dates in the CSV, use the pivoted view of crosswalks. For more information, see topic Generate pivoted view of crosswalks.

Fixes

Export

When you export relationships including a filter for France (FR) in the Console Export application, the exported CSV was empty. We fixed our filtering functionality to resolve lookups before applying filters. Now the exported CSV contains the filters you applied to a relation export job. For more information, see topics Export entities and relationships and Lookups.

Hub

  • When you selected a different entity type in the Hub Profile view, the facets did not reflect the correct information. We have fixed this issue by updating the profile views and layout. The facets now display the correct information when a different entity type is selected in the Profile view. For more information on the Profile view, see topics Profile View and Exploring the New Profile Perspective.
  • When you clicked Search in the new navigation, a blank page displayed when an error occurred. We fixed this issue, and the standard page displays. For more information about the new navigation view and the Search option, see topics New navigation in the Reltio Hub and Get started with the new navigation.

Reltio Platform

  • In the Profile view, the audit history of a merged record sometimes displayed an incomplete view. The History tab of a merged record showed only the events of the winning record, and the history omitted events for the records that merged into the winning record. We fixed the issue, so the History tab displays events from all merged records. For more information, see topics Viewing History and Entity History.
  • In the Profile view, if you deleted a relationship attribute for an entity that didn't have a crosswalk, the Relationship perspective incorrectly showed that an attribute from a different crosswalk was deleted. We fixed this issue with our delete functionality. Now when you delete a relationship attribute that doesn't have a crosswalk, no crosswalks are deleted. For more information, see topic Relationships Perspective (new view).

Search

  • If you created a complex query containing an OR operator before an AND operator in the Advanced search page, it may not have returned the expected results. We have changed our filter parser to observe the standard Boolean order of logical operations, so AND operators are evaluated before OR operators. For more information, see topic Exploring the Advanced Search.
  • You may have noticed the Search field and the Advanced Search page in the Hub did not always return the same result for the same search criteria. We have modified our search functionality to ensure that both the Search field and the Advanced Search page return the same results. For more information, see topics Search and Exploring the Advanced Search.
