Reltio Connected Data Platform: 2022.1 Weekly Releases

This page lists enhancements and fixes applied as part of our Weekly Releases in Reltio Connected Data Platform: 2022.1.

Release notes for Weekly Release 2022.1.17.0 - June 15, 2022

What's New

Export

  • We added a new slicedByCrosswalks parameter to the Export API. Previously, the API returned a dataset that contained contributed values for the crosswalk and its attributes all together in the header. Now you can set the slicedByCrosswalks parameter to TRUE to return each crosswalk and its attribute values on separate lines in the exported dataset, so you can easily identify the source of each particular attribute value. For more information, see topics Export API CSV Output Format and Generate pivoted view of crosswalks.
  • We added the anchorAttribute parameter to the Export API. Previously, the API returned a dataset that contained all of the rows of a CSV file together in the header. Now you can specify an attribute's UUID in the anchorAttribute parameter to precede all other attributes, so only a single OV value is present on a CSV line for an entity. This anchored OV value even appears on rows where non-OV values for other attributes of the record are exported, creating a consistent reference value for ingestion and use by downstream systems. You also can use the anchorAttribute with the slicedByCrosswalks parameter to return each row in a CSV file in its own line. For more information, see topics Export API CSV Output Format and and Generate pivoted view of crosswalks.

Fixes

Reltio Platform

  • When you sent an entity update API request with a corresponding relationship that contained an attribute with at least one crosswalk, the API automatically removed the corresponding attribute from your configuration. However, if the relationship did not contain any attributes with a crosswalk, the reference attribute was not removed, so the entity contained multiple Operational Values (OVs). We changed the API to no longer automatically remove the reference attribute. Now, to remove such an attribute, you must manually add an IGNORE_ATTRIBUTE parameter in the API request body. For more information, see topic Data Change Request API.
  • When you used the partial Override option in an Entities API to create an entity using nested attribute values, the API created one sub-element containing two attribute values rather than the expected two separate sub-elements with their own attribute values. We have updated the API, so it now correctly creates nested attributes, which you can collapse below the entity in the Profile view in Hub. For more information, see topics Partial Override for Reference Attributes and Profile View.
  • When you configured the resolveLookupCode property in your tenant to enable merging of lookup attributes based on canonical (standardized) lookup codes, entities still did not survive based on the lookup code. We fixed the issue with resolving lookups when either the attribute’s Operational Values (OVs) were not recalculated during the data load or the OVs changed after the data load. Now, entities survive based on the lookup codes. For more information, see topic Merging of Attributes Based on Lookup Canonical Form.

Release notes for Weekly Release 2022.1.16.0 - June 9, 2022

Fixes

Data Loader

In the Job Status page's Pending tab, some data load jobs with a JOB_EXECUTED status did not actually finish processing, so no record data was displayed. If you stopped those data load jobs and the Data Loader did not correctly cancel the pending tasks, when you created the job again, the new pending tasks also got stuck. We have changed our job publishing process to stop the new job request queue before canceling any pending tasks. Now, we ensure any messages waiting in the publishing queue are published before new jobs start. For more information, see topic Work with jobs and job definitions.

Hub

In the new Dashboard view, the Task Inbox facet displayed a Loading data error when the number of tasks were too large to be displayed in a single view. We fixed this issue by adding pagination for the tasks in the facet. Now, you can page through large volumes of tasks in the Task Inbox facet. For more information about the Inbox facet, see topic Configuring Dashboards.

Search

The results from a profile search by Operational Value (OV) sometimes included keywords from non-OV reference attributes. We have fixed the issue of searching the profile by OV reference attributes. Only the OV values of reference attributes are included in the search by OV values now. For more information, see topic Survivorship Rules.

Release notes for Weekly Release 2022.1.15.0 - June 1, 2022

Fixes

Crosswalks

The Crosswalk mode in the Sources perspective of a Profile view sometimes did not display all of the entities returned in a split by crosswalk (unmerge) operation API response. We fixed this issue, so all entities are correctly displayed in both the Profile view and API results. For more information, see topics Sources Perspective and Unmerge Entity.

Reltio Platform

If an entity and its relationships contained different crosswalks and you deleted the entity’s crosswalk using an API, the Validation Service returned an invalid reference attribute error. We modified the validation service to consider both the entity and reference attributes, so now when you delete an entity's crosswalk, the corresponding relationship is also removed. For more information, see topic Validation Service Configuration.

Release notes for Fix Release 2022.1.14.2 - May 27, 2022

Reltio Platform

Previously, a POST API request returned a Database error code if the entity had more than 100 records and the request contained two identical change requests in the same transaction. Now when you send a request, we now check to see if there are any duplicate requests in the same transaction to avoid the POST API request error. For more information on sending a POST API request, see topic API reference.

Release notes for Weekly Release 2022.1.14.0 - May 25, 2022

Fixes

Crosswalks

The GET _byCrosswalk API response sometimes displayed a Crosswalk Not Found error event when a crosswalk existed. We have fixed this issue, so the entity is correctly displayed. For more information, see topic Get Entity by Crosswalk.

Data Loader

In the Data Loader Console, the Edit option sometimes was not enabled for job definitions created by other users, so you could not update them even if you had the appropriate admin permissions. If you tried to edit the job definitions using an API, it returned an AWS region error. We modified the API to use the decrypted credentials when it validates storage details, so you can now successfully edit job definitions if you have appropriate admin permissions. For more information, see topic Work with jobs and job definitions.

Reltio Platform

  • The message for error code 170 sometimes referred to a relationship object type when the error was for an entity object type. We have fixed the error condition to identify the correct entity, relation, or interaction object type. For more information, see topic L3 validation errors.
  • Reltio Entities APIs returned different results in updatedTime and updatedBy fields for Export and Get Entity operations than for by URIs operations. Reltio APIs calculated the values for these fields based on simple, nested, and reference attributes every time they retrieved an object. However, they did not use these values if the reference attribute contained only non-operational values, which meant they did not return the latest values for these fields. We have modified these calculations to ensure the updatedTime and updatedBy fields have the most recent values before applying pagination. For more information on pagination, see topic Get Paged Entity.

Workflow

The workflow task to apply a Data Change Request (DCR) sometimes incorrectly included attributes marked with pinned/ignored flags. We resolved this issue, so DCRs now ignore attributes with these flags. For more information, see topic Pinned or Ignored Attributes Merges.

Release notes for Fix Release 2022.1.13.2 - May 22, 2022

Export Jobs

The Merge Export and Entities Export APIs sometimes failed if the export jobs contained null values. We added checks for null values before sending export job requests, so these APIs export data successfully. For more information, see topic Data Export Task.

Release notes for Fix Release 2022.1.13.1 - May 19, 2022

Data Loader

The Data Loader sometimes stalled when uploading very large jobs (>10K row files). We modified the Data Loader to automatically close upload connections when it completes a job, so it now handles high loads successfully. For more information, see topic Data Loader overview.

Release notes for Weekly Release 2022.1.13.0 - May 18, 2022

Fixes

Hub

In the Hub, the new dashboard view did not display all the charts that the classic view displayed. We have fixed this issue, so now there is no discrepancy in the charts displayed in the classic and new dashboard views.

Release notes for Fix Release 2022.1.12.1 - May 13, 2022

Reltio Platform

Doh! To fix a problem where the Reltio Platform replaced crosswalk values that began with 0x0AB with single quotation marks during serialization (conversion from Java Object to JSON) of some entities in Life Cycle Action (LCA), we recently changed behavior to not replace crosswalk values that begin with 0x0AB in such cases. That fix caused unexpected results in changing an apostrophe (') to 0x0AB. We've reverted to our original behavior and are going back to the drawing board to devise another solution to the original problem. Watch this space!

Release notes for Weekly Release 2022.1.12.0 - May 11, 2022

Fixes

Export

The link to the exported data in the email notification the Export Console sent did not work. We fixed this issue, and you can now use the link to download the export file. For more information, see topic Export entities and relationships.

Reference Data Management

The RDM application did not obtain all possible unmapped values it requested from reference data with a large number of sources, so it displayed an incomplete list in the Unmapped values tab of the Mapping page. We increased the number of sources from which RDM can receive reference data requests. Now, when you view the RDM Unmapped values tab, you can see the values for all of the reference data sources you loaded. For more information, see topic Mapping Unmapped Values.

Reltio Platform

  • During the entity updation process, the Reltio Platform generated merge-on-the-fly events in the Data Tenant (DT) to Customer Tenant (CT) synchronization queue even when it did not merge the CT and DT records. We modified the Reltio Platform to post such merge-on-the-fly events only if the merge operation is successful. For more information on merge-on-the-fly events, see topic Export Merge Tree.
  • During serialization (conversion from Java Object to JSON) of some entities in Life Cycle Action (LCA), the Reltio Platform replaced crosswalk values that began with 0x0AB with single quotation marks. As a result, the Reltio Platform displayed the incorrect crosswalk value. Now, we do not replace crosswalk values that begin with 0x0AB during entity creation. For more information, see topic LCA Framework.

Release notes for Weekly Release 2022.1.11.0 - May 4, 2022

Fixes

Console

In the User Management application, you may have received an error message when you tried to modify permissions for a custom role, even if you had customer administrator privileges. We fixed this issue, so you can now manage permissions for custom roles. For further information, see topic Managing Role Definitions.

Search

  • In Advanced Search, queries using the AND NOT operator returned the same results as the AND operator. We fixed this, so the results correctly exclude the exact match of the NOT search value. For more information, see topics Exploring the Advanced Search and Working with Advanced Search Filter Options.
  • When you created a Data Delete Builder to delete interactions from a Dataset and then used the Interactions API to confirm the deletions, in come cases, the API returned different results depending on whether you specified certain parameters. We fixed this issue, so the API no longer includes deleted interactions in total interaction counts. For futher information, see topics Data Delete Builder and Interactions Search.

Release notes for Weekly Release 2022.1.10.0 - April 27, 2022

What's New

Entity APIs: Partial override request

We previously supported the ability to repoint an existing relation-change the start or end entity-only for a full override of a reference attribute. We have enhanced this functionality to extend to a partial override of a reference attribute. This enables you to repoint reference attributes, such as crosswalks, in a partial override. To repoint a crosswalk in a partial override:

  • Use an existing relationship’s crosswalk URI only.
  • Ensure this crosswalk is the same as the crosswalk specified in a request body.
  • Ensure the existing relationship crosswalk has the same start entity as the relationship to which you want to repoint. For example, if you post an HCP entity with the Address attribute, and Location is an end object of the HasAddress relation, then you can only change the end object for the existing relationship crosswalk.
  • Use only crosswalks that belong to the same relationship. For more information on performing a partial override, see Partial Override for Reference Attributes.

Fixes

Data Loader

The Data Loader sometimes could not load existing relationships from two different sources. This was typically caused by multiple crosswalks that have two different relations but have the same crosswalk ID. You can prevent this issue by checking for duplicate crosswalks before you begin a data load. Run the duplicateCrosswalksCheck task with the checkDeletedCrosswalks parameter set to true to ensure that duplicate entries are removed. For more information, see Entity crosswalks consistency task.

Hub

  • The Export option was not visible in the Activity Log in the dashboard. We have fixed this issue and you can now export activity log details from the Activity Log.
  • In the new Profile perspective, the dynamic pivoting link in the Address facet did not work. We have fixed this issue. Now, when you click the link in the address facet, you are correctly redirected to the page displaying charts of individuals with the same address. For more information, see Address Facet.

Reference Data Management (RDM)

We previously supported only the Google Pub/Sub for streaming Reference Data Management (RDM) events. We have enhanced our RDM API to enable you to use Amazon Web Services SQS to stream events to downstream applications. For more information, see Streaming RDM Events.

Search

An Advanced search that contained an analytics attribute with a missing value did not return the expected result. We have modified the Reltio Search service so it no longer incorrectly converts such a search into a query. Now, when you run an Advanced search with an attribute missing values, the Search response displays the correct results. For more information, see Exploring the Advanced Search.

Tenant Management

In the Tenant Management Console, attempts to schedule a reindex job with the Updated Since option resulted in an error. We have resolved this issue. Now, you can schedule reindex jobs for your tenant successfully. For more information, see Creating a Reindex Data Job.

Release notes for Weekly Release 2022.1.9.0 - April 20, 2022

Fixes

Hub

A merge permissions error was sometimes displayed in response to updating an entity in the new Sources perspective. We added additional checks to update the crosswalk details instead of merge permissions. For more information, see topic Sources Perspective (new view).

Match and merge

Missing matches could occur in a tenant that had a negative match rule and two or more automatic match rules with very similar URIs that differ by a digit 1, 2 at the end of the URI. We fixed the issue that caused the platform to skip such matches. We recommend that you run a rebuild for the impacted entity types so the Reltio Platform can recalculate and generate any missing matches that were caused by this issue. For more information on negative match rules, see topic Negative Rule. For more information on reindexing data, see topic Creating a Reindex Data Job.

Reference Data Management (RDM)

The RDM API sometimes returned an incomplete lookup type hierarchy for tenants with more than 1,000 lookups. We updated the API to include all lookups in the tenant, so the complete hierarchy is returned. For more information on creating lookup types, see topic RDM Lookups API.

Release notes for Weekly Release 2022.1.8.0 - April 13, 2022

Fixes

Cleanse

After address cleansing, sometimes entities with the same addresses may contain slightly different values due to the accuracy of the geolocation attributes. We have added a function to identify when a single crosswalk has two attribute values and then remove the duplicate attribute and its sub-attribute values. This ensures that after address cleansing there will be only one unique attribute associated with the crosswalk. For more information, see topic Address Cleanser.

Connectors

The Reltio Salesforce Connector synchronized data between a Salesforce environment and the Reltio Connected Data platform when the mapping was disabled. We adjusted the Reltio Salesforce Connector to check if the isActive parameter is enabled before synchronizing data. This ensures that records are created during the synchronization process only when mapping is enabled. For more information, see topic Relation Synchronization from Reltio Platform to Salesforce.

Export

The Export Service API was not able to export data to some custom S3 buckets located in a different region. We have added an s3Region parameter to the API, which you can use to avoid access denied errors while exporting data from one AWS region to another. For more information, see topic Store export results.

Reltio Integration Hub

The Reltio Connector did not process attributes containing a boolean value of false/no, so they were not correctly uploaded through Reltio Integration Hub. We adjusted the Connector to handle such false values, so the attributes are now correctly uploaded to the hub. For more information on uploading content to the Hub, see topic Reltio Connector.

Workflow

In the Reltio Inbox > Team tab, users without administrative privileges were not able to filter and view Salesforce tasks. We revised the accessTypes form property to ensure users without admin privileges can view and access tasks in the Team tab. For more information, see topic Business process definition overview.

Release notes for Weekly Release 2022.1.7.0 - April 6, 2022

Fixes

Hub

We have improved the layout and fixed the size of the Activity log component. Now, the History details are displayed in the Activity Log as expected.

Reltio Platform

Now, when a crosswalk is deleted for an entity, the corresponding relationship is also removed from the UI.

Release notes for Weekly Release 2022.1.6.0 - March 30, 2022

What's New

Match

You can now use the Amazon Resource Name (ARN) role credentials for the External Match API. For more information, see External Match API.

Fixes

Hub

Now, the new Activity Log view displays the logs when the analytical attributes are updated.

Reltio Platform

  • Now, using an entity’s URI to create a relationship does not add an end date from a deleted relation. We strongly recommend using an entity’s crosswalk to create a relationship instead of the entity’s URI. For more information, see Create relationships.
  • When the matchOvOnly option was enabled for nested attributes, merging only the nested attributes that had the Operational Value (OV) flag enabled was allowed. Now, when the new parameter - collapseNonOvNestedsWhenMatchOvOnlyEnabled is enabled, the nested attribute’s OV flag value is ignored and the sub-nested attribute’s OV flag values are used. For more information, see Attributes configuration.

Security

While creating roles, the API included the leading and/or trailing blank spaces, whereas, the User Management application excluded the same. Now, when leading and/or trailing blank spaces exist while creating a role, an appropriate error message is displayed.

UI Modeler

Facets that were mapped to sources were not displayed accurately in the Dashboard. Now, the Source attribute is available for selection for a facet in the UI Modeler. The charts that use the source value now display the data correctly.

Release notes for Weekly Release 2022.1.5.0 - March 25, 2022

What's New

Cleanse

You can use the new disableAddressShifting cleanse property to disable the address shifting cleanse logic that is applied when Address1 and Building attributes are the same in the cleanse response. For more information, see Address Cleansing Properties.

Console

In Tenant Management, the page titles and labels are enhanced for external queue configurations in the External Queues page. For more information, Manage external queues.

Data Loader

The Job Status page is modified to display additional insights into empty records in jobs. For more information, see Specify record update preference.

Export

We have added the ExternalId parameter while defining the AWS AssumeRole. This provides additional security in case the custom Amazon Web Service (AWS) S3 location is used as an export destination. For more information, see Store export results.

Release notes for Fix Release 2022.1.4.1 - March 17, 2022

Reference Data Management

RDM events were not getting published to the Google Pub/Sub topic after upgrading third-party libraries. This issue is resolved and all the RDM events are now getting published to the configured Google Pub/Sub topic.

Release notes for Weekly Release 2022.1.4.0 - March 16, 2022

Fixes

Cleanse

We have modified the cleanse logic for nested attributes. This ensures that the attributes are recleansed after they are merged, and duplicate attributes do not appear.

Data Loader

When you use an existing mapping for a job definition without making any changes to it, duplicate mappings are no longer created.

Hub

  • Some custom facets and charts were missing in the new Profile view. Now, the details are displayed in these charts and facets, as expected.
  • We have fixed the display issues in the new Activity Log view to ensure that the tenant activities are displayed as expected.

Release notes for Weekly Release 2022.1.3.0 - March 9, 2022

Fixes

Data Loader

While mapping data, Data Loader now enables grouping by crosswalks. Values for such groups are derived by joining attribute values from multiple columns.

Graph Search

Graph Search was displaying a blank page when the relationship type was not configured. Now, while restoring search state, the validations are added for relationship types and attributes to ensure that the Graph Search details are displayed.

Hub

We have added the default value for maximum value property in Survivorship strategy. Now, the new Profile view displays the nested attributes correctly.

Workflow

Due to some performance issues, it was difficult to assign Data Change Request (DCRs) automatically. We have added a few checks to ensure that the issues are prevented.

Release notes for Fix Release 2022.1.2.1 - March 4, 2022

Cleanse

We have added a limit that reduces the number of times you can recleanse an entity’s attribute. This ensures that the attribute is not endlessly recleansed.

Release notes for Weekly Release 2022.1.2.0 - March 2, 2022

Fixes

Connectors

There were errors in entity conversion when Salesforce metadata was empty. Now, the earlier metadata is added from the cache if the new metadata is broken.

Hub

  • We have enhanced the new Dashboard view to display the existing Potential Matches facet.
  • We have fixed the charts' full screen mode display issue in the New Dashboard view. This ensures that the Activity Log facet does not overlap anymore.

Search

Some facet search results were incorrect because values were considered with and without whitespaces. Now, the leading or trailing whitespaces in facet search values are trimmed and appropriate results are displayed.

Release notes for Fix Release 2022.1.1.1 - February 25, 2022

Connector

We have modified the logic to ensure that entities are merged in Salesforce even after the merged entity is updated.

Release notes for Weekly Release 2022.1.1.0 - February 23, 2022

Fixes

Data Loader

Data Loader now ensures that completed jobs are not updated with any other status. Some completed jobs appeared to be In Progress due to incorrect order of acknowledgment of job execution.

Export

Now, an appropriate error message is displayed if the export task fails while calculating permissions, instead of a blanket access denied error.

Life Cycle Actions

  • Hub now includes the globalID in the validation request to ensure that the filter condition specified in the Before Save section is considered as expected.
  • We have modified the validation service to remove validation errors that appear when reference entities with missing address details are included in the input payload to the LCA.

Reltio Data Science

You can now select the entity type while running queries in Reltio Reports as it is now available in the view_matches_source view.

Search

We have modified the initialization logic for DnB Batch export jobs to avoid any delays in starting the jobs.

UI Modeler

You can now select a custom role in the Profile Statistic properties in the UI Modeler.

Workflow

Reltio Inbox did not display potential match review tasks as these requests were not properly submitted by the Search page due to some changes in the related API. This issue is resolved and Reltio Inbox displays the potential match review tasks, as expected. For more information, see Start Processes From a Search Query.
